I believe Amazon.com is acting in an execution of great social irresponsibility. They are in my opinion perpetuating a negligence (failure to exercise the care that a prudent person usually exercises) so harmful it borders on being an ally to criminal activity. I consider Amazon. Com to be propagating (to cause to spread out and affect a greater number or greater area : EXTEND b : to foster growing knowledge of, familiarity with, or acceptance of (as an idea or belief) : PUBLICIZE ) and therefore contributing to the potential sexual exploitation, rape, and molestation of children by offering a book on adult-on-child sexual relationships. It is titled, "Understanding Loved Boys and Boylovers." http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0967699703/qid%3D1032826048/sr%3D11-1/ref%3Dsr%5F11%5F1/104-9242940-8073525 In fact, on the Amazon. Com site, self-described boy lovers and pedophiles offer positive reviews of the book, saying it "attempt[s] to shed the positive aspects of a healthy boy/male relationship." This is advocating (one that pleads the cause of another; one that defends or maintains a cause or proposal) pedophilia. husband's (hubby is not her father) when she was 5 years old. He currently sits in prison for 3-1/2 more years. He will be out when she is 10 years old. I am still baffled by this. He will be able to go on with his life, where we won't know what the affects of what he's done to her are until she's older. It just doesn't seem right to me. We met at OLP and until this evening I had no idea we shared a similar story. I have only begun the journey to healing from the sexual abuse my mothers brother imposed upon me....and many others. He was a Catholic Priest and his siblings refuse, to this day, to acknowledge just how sick he was. Thank God he is dead and can do no more harm to children. I applaud you for having the strength and the courage of your convictions to publicly denounce such heinous offenses. Many children will benefit from your efforts. I have a 13 year old son who was raped by two teenage boys....Since then, he has been diagnosed bipolar and has attemped at 5 years old and is in the hospital for his 5th committment.
