| Comments: | Magenta I enjoyed your site. I found it by accident while i
was looking for meade recipes and stuff about organic gardening. I and my wife are wiccans too. We also both served in the military. I still currently serve in the Nat. Guard here in WA.This brings me to why i am writing. I read your story about your military service and I truly am sorry you had to go through that. My wife was in the Air Force and she says she was sexually harassed by an E-7. She says that nothing was done about it and that everyone just told her to drop the issue.I told her she just was lazy and should have pushed the issue as far as it could have gone.I was in the army so I cant begin to say that I know anything about how the Air Force does business but I'm sure they have the same or similar Equal oppurtunity policy. Well after reading the story of your military experience it has made me re-evaluate my position on my wifes story.Magenta why didnt you go all the way up the chain of command? I mean thats what I tell my wife, but now I'm thinkin that theres more to this issue than I think there is. I want to find out simply to educate myself and should I ever see this in the guard I'll know what to do in the future. You are a soldier same as me so I know that every since basic you were tought that if you had a problem go thru your chain of command. Did you do that? If you did why didnt it work? Some people say that they have tried thier COC and it didn't work, but i find out that they didnt go much further than Battalion or brigade level and we all know it goes way further than that.I can't say that I know what its like to be a female soldier I haven't served with that many I have been in combat units most of my career, but I do respect all women especially women soldiers.I just believe that the chain of command can work if your willing to go all the way and in my opinion if your not willing to go all the way you shouldn't even begin.I am the kind of soldier that is a true warrior and believes in honor,respect,and discipline and all that other outdated antique philosophy. I am just curious to see what your take on all this is and maybe it will mke me a better soldier and husband. I hope you aren't too busy to respond, but if you are its okay.
