Your akitas are beautiful. Thank you for the hefty links section. We just lost one of our members to old age and have a female that will be 10 this year. Thanks to your links, I think I finally know what her skin condition is. She will be going to the vet to get confirmation next week. We also adopted (last night) an akita from a no kill shelter in VT. We will be starting obedience lessons in June. Our Dukie needs another year of our undivided atttention,,,,,I read some stories about full grown akitas, that some breeders are trying to sell or just plain get rid of how can people do that? Our animals are like children to us. I can not imagine.. after breeding them disposing of them!!!! well I am sure you know what I mean... Akitas are so special ... are they not family too? anyway keep up the good work and next spring I am very interested in a litter... maybe two ... we have 135 acres of land not that they would be allowed to rome free but they would have a great life just like our boy Duke my super duper special boy....
