I often have thought of you over all these years and wondered how you and Lorelei were. . Are you still at the same address? I still live in Scottsdale. . .just south of where we met at the old Arabian fairgrounds. My husband Joel and some of our friends went to Horse World this February for the Arabian Horse Show. | Comments: | Many years ago growing up, I had horses, but none so gorgeous, none so expensive. I couldn't afford a place of my own. My sister and I had horses and boarded them. We loved the Arab Magazines and just lusted for one all the time. We followed the great Stallions around the world by reading the information, articles, who's siring who, and who owns who. We got to where We just about ate, slept, and talked horse all the time. Although we never went on to the great shows, only local shows and dressage events, we followed the Arab world all the time and from time to time, saw sons, daughters, etc. of some of the famous horses we only could see in pictures in the pages of the almighty Arab Horse World magazines. I've looked up several other famous Arab sites and they are all bring tears to my eyes. The pics are so beautiful and the articles are so descriptive, I believe I can picture it all like I was really there. It's been over 25 years since we followed the horses and subscribed to the magazine and over that time, nobody is left. When we look at the pics in our magazines, the fabulous horses are there in body and soul and they are perpetual and immortal in their pictures like time stood still. Naborr was a favorite of ours and just reading about him now makes his memory etched in our minds. Beautiful website! |

A friend of mine was telling me the sad story and my heart went out. I thought I'd try to put him up until we could find a home for the old guy. I can't tell you how amazing this animal is... I was worried he wouldn't stay on his feet in the trailer on the way home, but now with more feed and exercise he's cantering around my pasture, playing with my geldings, at almost 35 years old!! I looked up his pedigree and discovered he's a son of Aramus and bred by Aramus Arabians. "john boy" as he is called has been with us 1988 when we bought him at a saddlebred auction.in checking his history we found that he was one of the 11 sons sold at t. chauncey's first sale in az. we have 2 of john's daughters,1 is naborr x barbadoos, the other 1 is double naborr. Sadly, we lost TC Classique the first summer we were on this farm. she is still sorely missed. |
