| text: | I am sorry that at the Alexandro Malaspina Research Centre we do not have resources for the genealogy of the Malaspina family. I notice too that our link to the best Italian site no longer works. We will try to fix this as soon as possible. In the meantime, if you are tracing your family history, you might go to http://www.sardimpex.com. You will need to register (which may require you to pretend to live in Italy), but it will be worthwhile. I should also add that there are many Alessandros in the family. The navigator whose life we celebrate in our website had two brothers only: Luigi and Azzo Giacinto, both of whom lived and died in Italy. |

| text: | Hi I'm Adelita Malespina from Uruguay. I've never seen a photo of Alexander Malaspina and I'm very surprised beacuse he's quite similar to my dad. They have the same nose, maybe this sound a bit stupid but I was quite shocked about it. I would appreciate if anybody could send me some information about Alexander Malaspina and his family tree. Thank you. |

| text: | I am a descendant of Francisco Malaspina, brother of Alessandro Malaspina. Francisco moved to Peru. His great grand-daughter was named Petronila Malaspina. She is my great, great grandmother. I would greatly appreciate any more information that any of you may have regarding Francisco Malaspina or the family tree. I saw a copy of the family tree here: http://www.lunigiana.net/mulazzo/malaspina/malaspina01.htm However, the problem is that I can't get the family tree large enough to read. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you, Jessica |

| text: | My paternal great-grandmother, Maria Malaspina, was of royal-blood and married Gasparre Valla, a commoner, and was disowned by the family. I would love to know more about the lineage connecting to Allessandro Malaspina. |

| text: | We celebrate the foundation of Australia every January 26th. This is the day (in 1778) when Sydney was first settled by the British. I have really enjoyed discovering that Malaspina & his crew visited here (Sydney) 5 years later in 1793 because I have an italian heritage. |
