Dear Mamie, I've tried to send you a few emails, but they somehow didn't post. I am so so tired as I type this at 6 am on Monday morning. I've been away. My younger sister Mary Ann was killed in a car accident on March 29th. She died instantly of massive head and chest injuries. I was the first to find out and it has devastated me. The pain I feel is unbearable. My heart is truly broken. A part of me has died with her. She leaves behind 3 children, 2 boys and a 16 year old daughter. I've dealt with many things in life but this has been the hardest on me. It has really taken it's toll on me. As I sit with her picture in front of me, I wonder why life is sometimes so unfair? Hi Beautiful Mamie & Dreamers, It's been a dry spell since I dropped into the Saloon. Mames, looks like ye had a fun time at the dancer awards and not to mention how sexy-licious you looked.... it's your artform....and I've always admired fine works of art...I hope you, Tom, Perry and your furry creatures are all well, shiny and happy... I am lucky to be here on the planet after my "NDE" 2 weeks ago..I was driving north on Interstate 95 to see a holistic doctor about regulating these wacky hormones when my car was hit by a piece of solid steel the size of a phone book. The steel piece came flying off a big mac truck ahead of me 2 lanes over. It hit the ground, then skimmed across the road and then took flight straight toward me. I knew if it hit my windshield I was royally fucked. I also had both front windows down. Lately, I've developed claustrophobia due to that she-devil bitch called perimenopause. Next thing I know the steel hits my outside mirror on the driver's side like a fucking torpedo..My whole car shook, the glass exploded on impact and every piece of it flew into my car, cutting up my left hand. I also had a piece of glass in my bottom lip..I just pulled it out,...my left hand was bleeding so I didn't chase the truck to get his tag number and to remove his genitals....I exited the highway and stopped at a Porshe car dealership to assess damages and clean up my hand. The receptionist there was very nice and brought me stuff to clean my cuts... So I thanked Isis the great Goddess that I survived and then summed it up like this: SHIT HAPPENS! It cost $200.00 for a new mirror, not exactly what a girl wants to spend her $$ money on... Sherry, I hope your dogs get better.... You are an unsung hero. I am glad your encouraging Hollywood celebrities to go to Iraq and Afghanistan to entertain the troops. Hi Mamie & Dreamers... Looks like I'm the only one in this lonely Dreambook Saloon, it's 3 am and I can't sleep. My ears are still ringing from the Seminole Indian Pow Wow that I attended all day Saturday. I'm still all wound up from the drums beating like mad. The outfits the Native American Dancers wore were very colorful and beautiful. The beadwork is incredible. I'm going back tomorrow to see who wins all the loot in the dance contest. I have recently returned from a vacation in Dante's Inferno. 1 week of migranes, 1.5 week of a sinus infection and I flopped a rented bike at a park last Sunday. I scraped up my left knee purdy good and have some purple-yellow bruises. The bloody seat was too high on the bike and I couldn't budge the seat lever. I should of had a clue the seat was too high when the pilot of that Continental jet winked at me while he was flying past me. My good friend Arianna was riding behind me and saw me fall into a heap. She asked if I was okay, the best I could do was give her the finger and tell her that I would be needing some Scooby Doo bandages. I returned that evil bike and got a ladies beach cruiser and despite my spill still kept going. So it look like I need to visit the local shaman and Un-Fuck my karma. Well, it's creeping up on 4 am...time flies by when your wide awake. All I need now is a few more hot flashes to go with my sleepless night.... Hi Mamie, So sorry to hear about your friend Johnny. You had so many kind words to say about him. That is what a good friend does. I'm sure he somehow knows just how much you did care. It's never easy to say good-bye....but I believe that there is this great web of life/light and we are {all} part of it and we return to it after we leave this realm..it is beautiful beyond words and knows only goodness...and there are no endings...only transitions....{ }}}.... I have just recovered from 5 days of migranes....Our weather has been strange, with the barometric pressure falling.. it affects my head when it does drop...today I finally have some relief...the elephant sitting on the back of my neck with the bungy cord wrapped tightly around my head has decided to leave and go torture someone else... I attended a baby shower this past Sunday for my very good friend, who has kindly taken in a 10 month baby boy as a foster child. I went shopping for some clothes for him with my head spilting..I know flea collar sizes pretty well, wasn't too sure about baby sizes....My friend asked me to ride along with her to where the shower was being held, and our little baby did not want to be in his car seat and so he screamed for the entire ride. Thank God, it was only a 25 minute ride...felt like 3 hours....my poor head!!!! He's a very beautiful baby, his story is sad, mother only 15, father 16...and he was being neglected...so he was placed in foster care...All of us rallied for my friend and she got alot of great baby stuff...The baby was an angel at the shower and when we left , he slept the whole way home...I helped her cart all of her gifts in the house...and then me and my migrane went home to bed... It's a cool and windy night here in Fla...I really should go for a walk......so I'll say bye for now, Mames....as always you look sexy fab leaning up against that pole in your red hottie shoes... I've been a fan of yours since I was a kid...I remember watching Navy Vs. Night Monsters and even though I was little, I remember feeling real funny when you came onscreen, hahaha....but I just recently looked up your site, because I was searching for sci-fi moveis and was happy to see you managed to take of yourself sooooo well, my Lord, you look soooooo terrific.
