I am a gay man in a relationship of going on 6 years, and I hope we will be together as long as you two have been---but I ask the question your site does--Why?--what is "marriage"? Most straights abuse the idea of something you learned as a child, how would your last 50 years been different if you had been "legally' married? I feel that gays with a 'Mad Vow' disease wish to flaunt Christians--that's not enough reason for me-they will meet their maker. One(for two) can make their will-can decicde who can or cannot visit them sick-can stop relations fron contesting wills--preplanning. It's real cute to say you are speaking for all of us-but I know how to talk for myself.
"why can't we marry?" You have been married for 50 years, because no one threw rice at you, you feel slighted? Would you have been happier if a pedophilic preist had blessed your union? The only thing available to 'officially' married people and not to us is divorce. Think it through-you are not your parents, you have found happiness---do you really need the justification of a peice of paper? i hope your bond is above that.
