| Comments: | I've been eagerly awaiting a solo CD featuring Mr. Panaro ONLY. Will it ever happen?? There's a huge audience out there who would leap at such a recording. In the meantime I'll have to content myself with the existing recordings, which most especially for me are "Side Show" and that one great number from "Broadway Damage" ('Promise of Another Day')--I listen to that track over and over. It's neither the music nor the lyrics that moves me--it's the VOICE. That wonderfully versatile voice that sweeps and soars and rocks and moves. There aren't a lot of vocalists out there that have the same effect on me, who possess that kind of warmth, with that level of technical brilliance and heartfelt sincerity. If there is an existing mailing list for those like me who wish to be notified when a solo recording does become available, at long last, sign me up!!

| Comments: | Hugh performed November 1 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for a benefit dinner and totally blew away the tux and gown audience.
This was my first exposure to him and I was shocked he doesn't have a CD of his own with the enormous range and silky smoothness of his incredible voice. I had been told by friends of mine with the national Jaycees headquarters that he was nothing less than fantastic. Now I will have to call them to say they sold him short -- he was way beyond fantastic for the half-dozen or so numbers he sang. And just where did the "Sara Lee" song come from? That was a real kick! |
