How are you, my friend? Since I missed the Brantford Elvis Fest this past summer, I missed out on seeing all you guys. It's really a drag that I usuall only get to meet up with most of you hound dogs once a year. But it's even more of a drag when I miss it and have to wait for ANOTHER year to roll around! I trust all is going well for you - if your web site is any indication, I'd be willing to bet that all is going VERY well! I'm beginning to have some very good fortune in my carreer as well. This past summer, I won the Michigan Elvis Fest competition. I was STOKED! I'll be headlining the Festival in 2006. I still can hardly believe it! Last week, I received a call from Joanna from Lady Luck Music, inviting me to participate in their People's Choice Awards" in Montreal in March. Really cool! I STILL wonder if they really contacted the right guy - but I'm NOT telling them! Which brings me to the subject of this email: I'm in need of some decent costumes. We're still not at the point with our business that I can go out and plunk down a couple grand on a professionally made jumpsuit. But I also know that the reality is, if I don't have proper costuming I may as well not even show up at these high-profile gigs. It looks bad on me, the people who are putting on the events, the people who've recommended me - and it feflects poorly on the memory of Elvis. Not to mention the fact that it doesn't show much respect to the fans. So I decided to contact some of by "Brothers in Gaberdine" and see if anyone knows about any used costumes floating around out there. I attended the Brantford Elvis Festival this past summer, for the first time. As a long time attendee at the Collingwood Elvis Fest, I was pessimistic about coming to see another festival but let me tell you...it was beyond any of my expectations and so professionally organized and put together. I was only intending to be there for Anthony's show on Saturday but we stayed down and came out on Sunday for the whole day and evening. I have been an Elvis fan for a few years now and vividly remember Elvis singing Unchained Melody on TV in 1977. I must admit, I was voting for John Preston right up until the finals, but when you came out and sang, in that jumpsuit and then sat down at the piano, even the Jordanaires and JD Sumner would have to unanimously agree that you were the definite champion that evening. You have one of the greatest voices I have ever heard and while your size may be your ONLY set back, once you open your mouth and sing and smile, nobody watches you anymore, they simply listen. And for once, it seems the judges were paying attention. I am so thrilled for you and more for your new baby boy. Congratulations on everything and please pass on to the festival organizers that they put on the greatest Elvis Fest on the planet. Long live the KING |

Words cannot express the glee that I felt last night, as Joan Minnery announced that you were the Brantford Grand Champion. My heart skipped a beat as she held a breath and then let out your name...and everyone is our entire section rose to their feet. FOR ONCE...the judges finally got something right!!! And Gino...was the ONLY contender to the sought after professional crown for certain!!! Marcus, when you sat down at that piano and sang Unchained Melody...it was as if Elvis had come back from the grave, one last time to delight his fans at the Sanderson. It was eerie, moving, spooky, nostaglic and heartwrencing all at the same time. YOU DEFININTELY HAVE THE SPIRIF OF THE KING WITHIN YOU. Congrats on the new baby. I just saw you on T.V. and you were soooo cool! CKOC, at 6:00 this morning, they do a repeat of last nights 11:00 show. And the BABY... awwww... he is sooo cute. I loved what you said about his little sideburns. :))) I am so happy for you and Victoria. I'm sorry I wasn't able to get a chance to say hello. I was out on Thursday and Saturday afternoon, but that's it. I had other committments for Sunday unfortunately. And Ken was stuck working all weekend. His plant is closing for good in Nov. or Dec, so he is working as much overtime as he can get just now. You were great both performances I saw. I could tell your voice was a little weak on Thursday night. I know what kind of notes you can belt out and you were just a little less strong, still sounded great though. And Saturday, you rocked the house. I would have loved to hear what you did on Sunday. I haven't had a chance yet to find out what the final standings were ... so... either awww..., or yeah!! LOL I think you definately deserve to be up on the podium, but it is my sister they keep pulling in to be a judge, not me. Anyway.. hope to see you guys again sometime before too long.
