I miss you guys and all the fun I had there. I have three girls of my own now, Rory (6), Fiona(3) and Trinity(2). I wish they could have known Eamonn and the fabulous pub you all called home. | Comments: | Hello folks,
I just thought I'd put my regards in here. I was introduced to the Eamonn's community/family in 2003 when I was a junior at Siena College just trying to make a buck. So I started waiting tables (I wasn't really any good at it but I tried hard:) Anyway, I did that about 4-5 months. But, that was all it took for me to fall in love. I loved that atmosphere so much and the way I felt sitting at that greenly lit bar sipping my pint after a hard nights work or just as a patron. There isn't a way to fully explain it. There just wasn't any place I'd rather have been. So the end of Eamonn's is like the end of a chapter in my life like so many other friends of the bar. I will miss it dearly and try to re-create an Eamonn's environment whenever I can. Regards and my best to the Eamonn's crew and M&M where ever you all are! I just moved to San Diego and am starting my doctorate. So It's gonna be a while untill I can get back to the capital district area except for breaks. A piece of me still thinks that someone is going to fix up Eamonn's again. But for now I'll just keep the memories. Luke |

| Comments: | Hello Mary and Mareena.
I graduated from Siena in 1993 and when I think of Siena, I think of Eamonn's! My roommates Sue Hannon, Colleen, Kiersten, Alisa, Meg, Michelle, and I think of ourselves as his greatest fans. (Undoubtedly many will claim this honor) I was driving through Albany about a week or two ago and caught the end of a radio tribute to Eamonn. I was shocked and saddened to hear that he had passed on. I know how much he loved you both and revolved his life around you both. I am sorry to hear of your loss. My roommates and I are all getting together for a reunion in a few months and I plan to purchase one of his CD's that I don't already have and surprise everyone by "bringing Eamonn" with me. He is gone, but will never be forgotten. Thanks for sharing him with so many. Terri Holler (formerly Kenny) |

We were truly blessed to have had Eamonn singing there & hosting many fabulous Irish entertainers - both local & from Ireland.
We will never lose those memories, but it is time for Mareena & myself to move on in our lives. God bless all of you who enjoyed "Eamonn's". Thanks for the memories. Mary & Mareena |

| Comments: | The unbelieveable events of earlier this week when Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf states of Louisiana, Mississippi & Alabama, continue to overwhelm & destroy our people. Yes, folks, our people. These are Americans who are suffering & dying through no fault of their own. We must try & share their pain, we must try to help in any way we can. If we stand by an do nothing, then not only have we let them down, but we have also let ourselves down.
To go running down there to hand out bottles of water is obviously not the answer, but that does not mean we are off the hook. We need to send monetary contributions in order to keep the relief effort going. It is crucial that we contribute immediately. This relief effort is urgent & so should be our response. However, as always happens in similar circumstances, unscrupulous people are all too eager to take advantage of other folks' misery in order to make money for themselves. Therefore, we would suggest that you contribute only to the well-established agencies we are sure of, as follows:- Catholic Charities The Red Cross The Salvation Army Contributions can be made at Wal-Mart & Price Chopper stores to make it really easy. Finally, folks, we do realize that some people are just not in a financial position to be generous to those in desperate need. To you we say, you can still play a crucial part - YOU CAN PRAY FOR THEM. Actually, we should all pray - often & fervently. Let's all work to turn this major disaster around. There is no time for delay. We thank you & we are with you. God bless, Mary & Mareena |

| Comments: | Hello Mary, Our belated condolences. I too have just found the sad news about Eamon. He came to our home in Salford Lancs., UK to help our children with their maths 1971! What a lovely personality he had. Our kids were soon up to speed:-)
We were surprised to hear he was involved with the ballad, "Up Went Nelson in old Dublin"! We are happy to learn he made a good life from his music in the USA. To think we were in New York May 2001 on the roof of World Trade Centre. Eamon did not know our Elvis story back in 1971 as we were deep into Beethoven and the other great composers. He would have loved the story. See us on google:-) All our very best to you and yours. Maureen and Maurice. |

I will remember him as a tremendously talented performer with a masterful command of his audience. I will remember his clever Irish wit and strong, beautiful voice. | Comments: | about 3 an half years back i decided it was high time i moved back to my family. So i left the Great Tri County and returned to Santa Rosa, Ca. It was one of the hardest things i've done, second only to the choice of sobriety. Ilook back at the nine years i spent in albany with some regrets but with a lot of fond memories. I've enjoyed many pints and far too many shots of whiskey @ Eamonn's. I even got to play the worst game of pool in history with Billy as my partner. (after 45 min we just gave up)
One of the things I truely miss is having good Irish programs on the radio. I used to wake up early Sun. morn., hungover, and blar "Proud To Be Irish" until my house mates threatend phisicall retributions. Ah memories. Well it's been four years sober, march 15, three and half home and a little less than one year married. Someday soon I'll my wife on a tour of the Great Tri County. She'll see the sights, meet my friend and we'll definately be there on a sun near a radio! |

It has been many years now since we discovered your "Proud to be Irish" radio program while on a Sunday drive. Our girls were little then, sitting and singing along in the back seat. Listening over the years has meant the world to us and we feel we know you and your dear family! Our little girls are not so little now (Jessica is 18 and a freshman at The College of Saint Rose and Erika is almost 15). But it is still a joy, while driving Jessica back to campus from our home up north after a weekend visit, to listen to your show. Makes the drive go very quickly. Keep up the good work. | Comments: | Years ago we parted, but never have I forgotten the friendship you have shown me. You were always in my heart, although the miles kept us apart, because of that friendship you have shone onto me. Life does have a special way of bringing olde friends together, to have this chance to say Thank You and may GOD bless you! |

| Comments: | Dear Eamonn
I would like to thank-you for the work you have done with the Center for the Disabled. My son Luke goes there and we can't thank you enough for the oppurtunities you have given him. We both have your CD'S and they are beautiful. They say exactly what we all feel. We have become Eamonn regulars on Sundat and we enjoy it so much. Thank-you for given so much of yourself. | Comments: | Hi Eamonn,
I only recently found your delightful pub, and since then have visited several times, with plans to visit many more times. The food is excellent, as is the atmosphere. I thouroughly enjoyed seeing "Hair of the Dog" the other week. I also purchased your CD "The Bravest" which I found to be a touching song. Thank you for the good times. God bless you and your family. - Daniel King |
