Comments:I really enjoyed your WEbSite. My father Jeff Monroe Wilson was born in Buckville in 1927. His parents are buried in the Buckville Cemetery and I am trying to research the area. He died when I was six in 1963 and we know very little about his life before he married my mother as both parents were already dead.
Thank you,
Malinda Wilson Larey

Comments:My grandfather George Washington Breshears married my grandmother Edna Halsell at Cedar Glades, AR in April 1913. They were both born in Cedar Glades. My great grandfather Moses Taylor Breshears is buried in Reed Cemetery in Story, AR. My great great grandfather Henry Breshears is buried in the Avant Cemetery. I was able to take my son and grandson to the Avant Cemetery and Reed Cemetery this year and witness the 7th generation celbrating those that have gone before us. This is going home again!

Comments:I was doing some research on the Larey name and ran across your web site. My father was William Wayne Larey died in Shreveport, LA 1972. I currently live in South Carolina and I know that some of my first ancestors were from Orangeburg, South Carolina. I was told there was a plantation that was burned during the confederate war but rebuilt. Would you know where this plantation is?

Thanks Peggy

Comments:I have just viewed The Buckville Project and I have really enjoyed. You have done a great and wonderful job!! I began going to the Buckville Homecomings back in 1968 when I was dating Dean Bradley, Jr, who later became my husband. I am originally from Benton, AR. I have not missed a Homecoming since. We came with all our four children and now they come with their children as well. Dean Jr and I moved to Buckville in 1998 and live on his mother's homeplace in Avant (although our mailing address has to say Jessieville). We love it up here where it is so peaceful. Some over the years refer to it as "GOD'S COUNTRY". This past year I was voted in as President of the Buckville Church & Cemetery Association. I hope to do as good a job as Debra Garner has done all these years. I also thought you would like to know that the Buckville Cemetery (not the church) has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places as of this year. It is on the state and national registers. I got the final confirmation to that effect via email today.
