What can I say? I wouldn't own so many if they weren't worth it! They're really beautiful and quite comfortable for lacing firm (but not tight-lacing) all day long, seven days a week. Highly recommended! |

i sew alot and i have already made a light boned corset with stretch back that hooks in the back, but im looking to make a corset using a soft heavy canvas material and another using rubber tire inner tubed that i will line with velvet, i get the used rubber tire inner tubes at a tire store near by, they send the inner tubes to a recycling center or something, they just give them to me because they tell me it cost them to send them off, plus i been making hand bags, cell phone cases, wallets, cigarette cases and other things, some people go crazy over them and want more. thank you tv maria |

I had ordered a corset from Sharon through Romantasy about a year ago and it fit perfectly. I ordered my second corset a few months ago directly from her and sent it with updated measurements. My new corset came made to the old measurements. I told her, sent it back, waited, she said that she repaired it, and she returned it to me. The corset had not been altered at all. It was still to big and made to the old measurements. To make a long story short I am stuck with a corset I can't use. |

While I do not currently own any corsets from this designer, I have tried on a few samples and was extremely impressed with the quality. We need corset makers/designers and lingerie designers, etc. to consider the needs of women undergoing breast reconstruction and cancer. We lose our femininity and sexual appearance with our breasts. All undergarment designers who make mastectomy lingerie seem to think we are all in our 60's and no longer interested in looking or feeling womanly or sexy. This is not the case!!!! As more and more young women are diagnosed with breast cancer that requires a mastectomy, (especially given that the younger you are at the time of diagnosis,the more aggressive the cancer is likely to be) the more women there are that want to find sexy, beautiful, shapely lingerie and corsets that can help us maintain the sexuality and femininity that most designers feel is reasonable to lose. If we, as women, don't see ourselves as worthy of being considered sexual, attractive and vital regardless of whether our breasts are surgically removed for medical reasons or not, then we let the men and the rest of the ignorant women, insurance companies and doctors (medical and psych) determine that a loss of these parts of us, beyond the breasts, is fine by us. If you lost your breasts tomorrow would you want to give up the chance to be a sexual human being because the designers and seamstresses and maufacturers don't acknowledge you in their work?
Please, find ways to allow for breast forms and other types of prosthetics to be used with sexy corsets and lingerie. Help the women who have sacrificed their breasts maintain the right to be sexy and beautiful, feminine women! Thanks :) |

Some of the comments I read about corseting make me wonder if some of these ladies ever wore a Corset. I am sure you all have seen them in Stories and emails. From personal experience ( I do not know if you would call this tight lacing or not) I usually lace to four to six inches reduction every day. I usually only do it up to twelve hours a day because I start to get heat rash sores and intestinal pain and must get free from it. My reason for wearing the corset started out as a prescription from the Doctor due to serious back degeneration, late onset scoliosis and an injury from a fall. It was uncomfortable at first but it did relieve the pain. I lost my Job of 33 years due to the injury and recieved minimal disability income. I had a lot to deal with and felt trapped and imprisioned. Pleasantly, after about six months wearing the brace (it is effectively a Victorian underbust Corset) it became quite comfortable and as I said above I wear it about twelve hours a day. I have one which is made from conventional Canvas and Boning. The other one is made of heat formed Plastic and is very rigid. I can not misbehave in it at all. The primary problem is heat and "glowing" under the corset even with a liner. As perhaps some of you have experienced, all this has led to feelings I can best describe as erotic and comforting. The Corset gives physical presence to the feeling of being trapped, imprisioned but a great feeling of security. Perhaps that is why some of us love a good tight hug. Not being one of them owing to other reasons, it has allowed me the oportunity to experience that feeling without being forced to touch another human being. If I sound a bit odd, that's OK. They no longer imprison the insane. Gwen |
