| Comments: | I'm so sorry for your pain. This is the most unbearable loss. My son is an oxycontin addict. In the last five years he has had three long (6-10 month) periods of clean time. Right now he can't return to his apartment because he owes a drug dealer money. I have paid unimaginable amounts of money. I know someone who lost a child to drugs and she said to me "At least I don't have to deal with it any longer, you will have to deal with it for a long time to come". I couldn't understand this seemingly unsympathetic statement for her daughter but as time goes on, I'm beginning to understand as my pain is intolerable. If a child is living with drug addiction, they are in pain all the time. My son always says "Do you think I want to do this?" Judging by the recovery statistics, he doesn't have much of a chance for a decent life and as hard as I try, the pain doesn't go away. Now I feel that when he started this drug, I'd already lost him. Try to take a little happiness from each day knowing that you are living the best life that you can and get help when you need it. |

| Comments: | I am so sorry for your loss. He is a very handsom young man.We also lost our son. At 24, he was taken from us.That is one of the hardest thing to accept, and you never do. He passed away 4 yrs. ago, and it could be yesterday. The hurt, pain, and just him not being here is still so fresh to us. You feel guilty if you catch yourself feeling able to deal with the loss. I thank God that I had him here for the 24 years that he was with us. Those wonderful memories, thank God you have that. I am thankful for the pictures and videos we had taken , those are a blessing. | Comments: | I just wanted you and your husband to know that your son is beautiful. You have done a most wonderful thing to help so many others who suffer this loss. Personally it is the worst thing I can imagine. I know my son Sean would be 21 now. We have yet to re-enter his bedroom. I just can't make myself enter that room and neither can anyone one else in our family. His suicide has changed us forever. I pray that someway we can have something positive come out of our loss.

| Comments: | I just wanted you to know that I also lost my son. He was killed in a car accident 10 days befor his 22nd birthday. His best friend was also killed. Sunday the 25th of April 2004 will be one year.I still think about him everyday and i talk to him all the time because he is always with me.I have my good days and then i have days that all i want to do is cry all day long. |

| Comments: | I haven't read your story yet. We lost our only son on Aug 15th 2002. He was 21 on Aug 14th. Parents are supose to go on befor their kids. We have learnd that life goes on like it or not. We are learning to enjoy ourselves again without feeling guilty. Took us a long time. |
