| Comments: | What bugs me about her death? i get so mad about the way she die. i remember the day she die, a friend told me buffy is dead. i was so hurt i think i cry. Here i am 30 years later, a musician writing my owns songs, 4 CDs under my belt. Working on my fifth cd. As i was watching pictures of Anissa on youtube and reading about people who knew her. It just don't add up.... that this girl that gave so much joy to others couldn't find her joy and happiness. So i thought i'll put a few lines of music down and some words........... 3 weeks,10 pages later. Could not get her off my mind, there is one picture of her that really help me write this song . i guess i was affected by her death more then i thought. So my record company thinks am crazy for stopping production on my CD to finish and record Anissa Jones song, to get it on our next CD released. | Comments: | Famiily Affair was a superb program and I watched it each week when it was on. Too bad they don't have programs like it on today. The whole cast was great. It was great watching the show. I met Kathy Garver who played Cissy and she is a wonderful person to talk with and she brought back many memories of the show. I could have talked longer with Kathy. Anissa was such a lovely person to watch on TV--at that time she was one of my favorites to watch and it was so sad she had to leave us so early in life for would have loved to meet her. Too bad she didn't have a great role model at home to help her when she needed it. Family Affair is and always will be one of my top twenty programs of all time and Anissa, Johnny, Kathy, Sabastion, and Brian were all superb. Anissa was so lovely as Buffy and wish she was still with us today. I could watch her always as well as the whole cast. Thanks for the Family Affair show.

My father bought me a Mrs. Beasley doll. I am African-American and i remember the comments people use to make about the old white lady doll that I carried around. The show had a unique story line. I always wondered what happen to Buffy.. after learning of her death...it sadden my heart to know that her life ended so tragically... | Comments: | I just wanted to thank you for such a wonderful site. Out of everything out there on Anissa, I believe your site shows her more on the human level. She was such a lovely person and everytime I think about Anissa, my heart gets extremely heavy. She was a little less than two years older than myself and I had a crush on her as a child. When I heard of her death, I just couldn't believe it and it still bothers me to this day. I cannot believe that it is coming on 31 years since she left us. Sometimes, it will be years since I have thought of her until I see an old re-run, then the memories flood back. The sad thing about it is that she never got to experience having a family or fulfilling her potential, whatever road she wanted to take. I hope I will see her in heaven.

| Comments: | When I was 5, Buffy was my idol, at 12 I was heartbroken by her death. My mother dressed me and did my hair just like Buffy from the time I was 3 until I turned 8 or 9 when I demanded the "Buffy" tails be cut off so I could get the new fasionable (at the time) shagg haircut (great for swimmers). My mother alowed me that choice. Annisa was not allowed the same freedom. I shudder to think of the 13year old Annisa who was forced to carry a doll and wear a 6 year olds wordrobe, and hairstyle. To be sure there are much worse fates, but then again look how life didn't turn out for her. Such a horrible, horrible waste! Tragic. |

These kids were always up to something and somehow made me wanna be just like them I was fortunate enough to have a real uncle bill who served in the Air Force all his life and This show made me feel like my aunt and uncle were the best people in the world and It breaks my heart how "Uncle Bill"left the world because he was my favorite actor ever!! I went to Hollywood and I was hoping to get to find out alot about the show but unfortunately i was disappointed to find NOTHING but the men on the tour buses were more than happy to share there memories about the show with me when I mentioned how awesome that Buffy and Jody show was. I only wish there were shows like this nowadays to get kids minds off the way things are in reality. My mother sewed onto her a pinkish shirt, but she still has her pokadotted legs and yellow feet. I cut her hair, because I thought she needed a haircut, but in my eyes, she still looks like my Mrs. Beasley. She now rests in my cedar chest with the rest of my childhood memories.

My aunt on my mothers' side was Sissy so when we were kids, we use to visit the set where they were filming. I know that later Anissa did everything she could to escape from her mother and when she finally did get her money at 18, she died within months. I know the mother still lives in the beach house in Playa del Rey, under the flight path for LAX, and wouldn't be interviewed for the E! channel. I have been a long time fan of Family Affair's since i was a little girl, also had a miss bezzly doll that i lost when my basement flooded and was so devastated about but was astatic when i was flicking threw the channels a month ago to see they put the Family Affair show back on ( satilite channel SUNTV,213) at 12:00pm . So now we know what i do at noon each day lol. Family Affair was the best. Anissa Jones and I were the same age and she was like the sister I never had. Today I have 3 Dolls that were modeled after her. The best one is 36 inches high and has that great face and those alsome freckles. I have her displayed by the front door in my foyer and look at her 1st thing when I come down the stairs in the mourning, she was made by a unknown company in 1968. |

I hope that someday some kind of permanentmemorial can be arranged for Annissa whose death still haunts me with continuing sadness. She was an exceptionally beautiful and talented young lady who had much to offer us. We are all the poorer for her premature passing. Am glad to hknow that Kathy has made out well. I continue to watch for her but, aalthough I have watch Apollo 13 many times, being interested in the spcace program and and a Sci-Fi fan, I have yet to spot her or see her name in the cast. How sweet. I knew she new the family, and visited the set from time to time, ah, the 1960s. She had all these amazing photos of old Hollywood (she was 82 when she died). Anyway.
