| Comments: | Great show tonight! But then every show you guys put on is a great show. You all look like you are having a great time up there. Mr. Atkinson is a true virtuoso! Joey makes the bass dance and putting bow to strings at times seemed to almost make it cry (Dunsmuir Road). Brett Martens is a worthy addition to the trio and the comraderie shared with the neweset member was easy to see. Together the music was magic, seemed to lift us right out of our seats! The way that Marc makes his guitar sing is nothing short of miraculous. Virizo, Diedre, Morning Glory, 'Til Next Time- all played to perfection! Thanks for another unforgettable show! |

I had never heard of your trio but now am a confirmed fan. Last night I turned off the lights, turned up the stereo and listened to both CDs purchased at the show - went to sleep with a smile on my face- Thanks. You have also solved my dilemma of what to get the children to Christmas this year. Will see you the next time you are in 'the valley'. |

| Comments: | Hey gents, I just squeaked in (the last ticket available!) to hear you play at the Art Gallery on the weekend. The introduction was not a lie; my socks were blown off, as they have been the few others times we've be able to be delighted by your trio. We were first introduced via Jurgen Goth at his final Disc Drive show in Vancouver, and are looking forward to hearing you many more times in future! In continued good tune, Davis |

| Comments: | Marc, I have a good marketing idea for you guys. Do like Romane did with his Acoustic Spirit CD. Include TABS for some or all of the tunes along with the CD. That would add a small incentive. And more people like me would learn your tunes and play them and people would be like who's that? and we'd be like that's the MAT. |

The feeling absolutely touched my soul. Thank you. Oh yeah... yay diaper free!!! Joey, it was a pleasure to meat you. you have my utmost respect. | Comments: | My all time favourite gypsy jazz trio. I have all the Marc Atikinson Trio CDs and love them. Really enjoyed your visit to Art Space (PG) last winter...though it was very cold that night..the toe tappin was alive and warmed everyone's heart. Please come back, we'd much love to see and hear you. (Imagine if Django could only hear you play, he would be greatly impressed.) I often think about what a grappelli violin added tot he M.A.T would sound like but, it might over flavour too much from the fantastic guitar work, but then again, hmmmm??? cheers, |

| Comments: | Hi Marc: Heard you at the Jazz Festival in Gibsons a couple of years back (went for my birthday - gift from my wife Margaret) and just had to buy your Marc Atkinson Trio CD. I play classical piano myself and we run a B&B Retreat. We play your CD more than any other and it always brightens a rainy day and gets our hearts and toes tapping. It's great that you and your trio are being recognized so widely - you deserve every bit of it, as much for the joy and pleasure you radiate as for your great music. Figured we'll bring some SA sunshine in by getting your latest CD soon. Please give us a call if you want a great B&B experience with fabulous food - we may even play some music for you from a great Canadian treasure, the Marc Atkinson Trio! |

What a great way to find out about you. Terrific music. Tomatito Wannabee p.s. Come perform at the Black Sheep some time! |

| Comments: | I first heard the trio at last years PNW DjangoFest. They came in shortly after Robin Nolan's trio. Although I love Robins style of playing, and have great admiration for his skill, the tempo that night, was so fast I felt like I was in the bleachers watching an acoustic drag race. Marc, on the other hand, took me on a musical ramble, that allowed me time to breathe in each note, each nuance, and really embrace the mood of the songs. One of my favourite compositions is "To Hold Awhile" which I would describe as a poem without words. The narrative is right there in the music: all of it original, distinctive and if Django was there he would have enjoyed it too! |

| Comments: | I was wondering if I can join your band. I play a mean electric guitar. I could bring my amp (Peavey Duece) and my guitar (Jackson) and just wail fiery licks with you guys. You could call the band the Marc Atkinson Trio featuring Phil Parma. I have long hair too, so I look the part. |

I was hopeing to see if tehre is someway to get some Sheet music, and maybe learn some of your songs, cause me and my friend harry(siegel) Just love listening to you. I am a student of Devons, and I would love to learn one of your songs with him as a "project" or whatever I would call it. Cudos for the most swingin' music around, Ari |

| Comments: | I saw the trio at Thompson Rivers University this past week. It was an inspirational, mind expanding experience. They say the best things in life are free and this show only proved it. Being an acoustic player/singer myself I could really appreciate the overall energy and synergy of the whole trio.(I was the guy in row three who was dancing sitting in my seat) Thank you so much Dan McGowan |

| Comments: | As a financial sponsor of DjangoFest NW, Langley, Washington, I had the pleasure of seeing and hearing your trio at the DFNW this year. Your music was the highpoint of the festival. Although I didn't hear any "Django" music, I did hear a true artist at work. There were many craftmen at the fest, ie, those who would seek to play Django's music faster and better each year, but very few artist, ie, those who actually create music. Marc, you are a true artist and I look forward to seeing and hearing you and the trio again in the near future in our beautiful Northwest part of the world. Best of luck and personal regards, Clint and Wendy Bell |

| Comments: | THANK YOU for your incredible music, and for your friendly manner!! I have seen you play with The Bills twice: Sisters, OR on 9/11/05 and Bear Valley, CA on 9/22/05--where you did that great thing with the elevator and the 'Tour of the Tiers' above the lobby. You are awesome in this band and I hope to see you in your own band soon. I'd love to hear you play more guitar, as in The Gatlinburg...Incredible. If you're ever back in our neck of the woods, stop in to Sonora Music (Sonora, CA.) and see us!! We'll have a cup of tea... Thanks again for your Honest Accoustic Music. ~Lynn |

| Comments: | Hi Fellas, I just bought a copy of The Marc Atkinson Trio III today & gave it a thorough & incredibly enjoyable listen. Wow, I am truly inspired. The playing and compositions are superb! And Joby did a fantastic job with the sound. Acoustic guitar is a passion of mine and when I find a recording that brings out the best in this wonderful instrument, as this album does, it is like a very rare & precious gem. I'm sure this one will be on high rotation for me for some time. Thanks so much. |

| Comments: | Hello Marc and the band. I hear from the Bills web page that you fellows are recording a new jazz CD. That is wonderful news. Can't wait for it to come out. Not that I'm tired of the first two yet but, new is good. In fact I play the second one a lot more than I should. People are beginning to talk. Words like obsessed and stalker keep coming up. My only problem is I have good taste. Russ |

| Comments: | Just a note to say I'm honoured (ok 'honored') to have Joey Smith as our teacher of the Jazz Improv class at the Victoria Conservatory of Music (now that he's off the boat and on dry land again). Even better, we get to listen and play with him once a week! Perhaps there should be a couple of MP3 samples on this site. (Also wondering if it's easier to play bass when you're not bobbing up and down on the water). Cheers |

I live in Victoria and am willing to pick them up or whatever. I can pay throught credit card over the internet. Or however you want. I just want a copy of those albums! I saw them in Prince George in 1995 or 6 at Other Art cafe. Then again the next year in a church or something I can't remember. Beautiful musicianship, between the trio and the Bills. I bought both CDs and have had them on nearly constant play since. what is an oeille bourre noir? wish my schools taught me french.
