| Comments: | Hi Marc. It sure was great to see and hear you at Mariposa this year (July 08). Every year there are highlights at these events. Your concert in the Beer Tent on Friday was one of them. And all I can say is wow concerning the guitar workshop you did with JP Cormier, Pavlo, David Essig and the guy from Australia whose name escapes me. Loved the interplay and improvisation. Look forward to your tour back to Ontario in October. See you in Guelph at least. Who knows maybe more. No I'm not a stalker. Ha. |

You guys have come along way and sounded better than ever. (I even took my girlfriend to the show and she too was blown away.) Your and your group's music certainly was a pleasure to experience and, in fact, has provided further inspiration to my own guitar blues playing. Keep up the superb musicianship! Cheers, Adrian |

Wonderful "first" performance for Reuben. I was without preconceived notions and came away a fan. In truth, the Trio added 9 fans due to that night, our group of 8 plus my husband, who couldn't attend but has played the CD I bought three times over already. Thank you, thank you. |

| Comments: | I first heard the trio at last years PNW DjangoFest. They came in shortly after Robin Nolan's trio. Although I love Robins style of playing, and have great admiration for his skill, the tempo that night, was so fast I felt like I was in the bleachers watching an acoustic drag race. Marc, on the other hand, took me on a musical ramble, that allowed me time to breathe in each note, each nuance, and really embrace the mood of the songs. One of my favourite compositions is "To Hold Awhile" which I would describe as a poem without words. The narrative is right there in the music: all of it original, distinctive and if Django was there he would have enjoyed it too! |

| Comments: | As a financial sponsor of DjangoFest NW, Langley, Washington, I had the pleasure of seeing and hearing your trio at the DFNW this year. Your music was the highpoint of the festival. Although I didn't hear any "Django" music, I did hear a true artist at work. There were many craftmen at the fest, ie, those who would seek to play Django's music faster and better each year, but very few artist, ie, those who actually create music. Marc, you are a true artist and I look forward to seeing and hearing you and the trio again in the near future in our beautiful Northwest part of the world. Best of luck and personal regards, Clint and Wendy Bell |

You are awesome in this band and I hope to see you in your own band soon. I'd love to hear you play more guitar, as in The Gatlinburg...Incredible. | Comments: | I was thrilled to find your music as it sits right at the crossover point where I find myself excited, inspired and in-the-moment. I love the acoustic classical/jazz crossover particularly and the clever titles and compositions. The crossover theme is a personal one and your music has been a high point in my getting to know the west-coast music culture. Fantastic! Thanks! |

I especially enjoyed listening to the magic you use on all the instruments that were played. Would love to see Macatkinson Trio do a concert in Eureka. Please come back to our little town and raise our spirits again. Thanks for all your refreshing music. Keep up the good work. |

| Comments: | hey guys - i saw you play (a long way from home for me) on a rainy day in vancouver when i was on vacation last early july, and i picked up both your records after your set. i'm not sure how much coverage you have in the states, but i'm spreading the word around here and to all my friends at their schools, from here to california. it must feel pretty incredible to have people enjoying what you love and create in little places you'd never expect. even people across my town coming to one of the gigs i played with my friends in the summertime was unforgettable, so if you ever decide that your influence isn't spreading where you want or that you're going to stop for one reason or another, know that you've made a mark on at least one musician somewhere in the world... can't wait to hear more from you soon~ thanks for the music. |

| Comments: | Brilliant! Pure insperation. I have never been captivated at a perfomance to the point I forgot where I was, until the Marc Atkinson Trio came to play for us on Pender Island, March 8, 2003 - Immersed in the feel of their music, in awe of their technical capabilities, and subtle sense of humour spoken and unspoken - beep beep, its eight o'clock! Looking forward to Marc's solo album too, the notes above the fifth fret - the likes I have never heard. |

| Comments: | I have been hearing this great track on Jazz FM 91 lately, liked it a lot, and so listened for the name of the band...and wasn't it interesting that one of the musicians was Chris Frye...I used to know a Chris Frye in Vancouver who played basketball at UBC and loved old soul as much as I did. And LO AND BEHOLD! It's the same Chris Frye! It's been a long time since the UBC team played that tournament in Manila, but I am so glad that you are still playing music. I am sorry I missed your February show, but I am looking forward to hearing you all live in Toronto the next time you are here. Emily |

| Comments: | Just a short note long on gratitude for an inspiring performance last night to kick off the Quadra Island Rec Society's '02 concert season. The three of you can lay down some of the tightest, most fluid and uplifting grooves I've ever heard live, anywhere. Chris, you are THE consumate rhythm master. Joey, if I were one iota of the upright guru you are I'd die fulfilled, and Marc, very few events in my career are as rewarding as listening to a former student, who has far surpassed the teacher, and taken his love of music to this level of success. Your energy is permeatingly divine...... Thanks guys, and please come back soon. |

| Comments: | That show on the Mound at Granville Island yesterday was top shelf material. Your playing was really tight and kept me waiting for more. The CD is going on when I finish this letter. Seeing Chris again after five years was exciting. After watching you play ball and, especially teach basketball to young kids, I knew you would make it big in some kind of educational entertainment field. Yeah! Keep it going. The email address I tried didn't work Chris , so please send me a letter with the right one. All the best. |
