When I was 8 1/2 years old my little sister Ashley, who was only 6, was diganosed with a Glioblastoma brain stem tumor. That type of tumor is one that affects adults in their late 30's. She was an absolute trooper through it all. When the end drew nearer thats when it became hard for everyone. One day, she was looking outside our living room window to see the other children playing in the street, and turned an looked at my mom and said "I just want the old Ashley back". I am now 18 going on 19. It has been 9 years 1 month and 1 day since that sad morning that Ashley was taken from us. It is very reassuring though, she was fascinated by angels, and now she will be one forever. I love you & miss you so much Ash! You are my little guardian angel! Please keep up the wonderful work you are doing! |
