| Comments: | I have just returned from Guyana...in the interior where my husband works as an exploration geologist and we stayed in Georgetown as well. He works on Monkey Mtn, but were only had enough time to take the 8 hr jet boat ride up the Mazaruni River to Aricheng and Kurapong, and various Amerindian villages in between, which we had to check in with each village with a passport # and name. We visited the worship service at the Church of Christ in Georgetown and it has enriched my life to feel the love of the Lord in this place. I was invited to speak to the youth group, who LOVES the Accapella band, by the way; I was able to share some of the older albums with Keith and Rodney, which will always be my favorites. They are looking for new music material for the youth group and I challenged each and every one to listen to nothing but christian music for 30 days to see the difference it can make in their lives. I am trying to procure 20 MP3 players and enough money to purchase enough music to put on each one. Please pray for this blessing to happen and enrich these youth's lives. They truly love the Lord and you could see it in the way they truly listened to the messages. They are thirsting for more and hopefully...the Lord will help to bless them and give them what they need. There is only one person with a computer in the church and I'd like to preload all the MP3's so they aren't tempted to replace it with less encouraging music. I look forward to many more trips into the interior and had looked forward to visiting the mission on Monkey Mountain. Maybe next trip. God Bless for all the work you have done in this country that is thirsting for the living water that only Jesus can give! |

| Comments: | Thanks be to the Lord for those that have paved the way for the first medical mission to Hosororo, Guyana June 21 through the 29th,2008. Frank and I are from Renton, Washington and were priveleged to serve as the "doctors" of the team lead by Jerry and Pat Veatch. It was a life changing experience that enabled us to share the good news of the gospel, as we offered some basic medical care, I believe we saw around 350 patients and there were 5 baptisms,I think this was remarkable for a small team of 13 total. Our only regret is we did not get to meet Steve and Colleen who were gone on Holiday. We can not thank Bob Bollers, Bobbie (our cook from Plaisance),Bryan,David and Crystal our Guyanese brothers and sisters who supported and worked with us side by side. Jerry and Pat were our gentle role models and leaders. We love them dearly. We Pray the Lord will continue to bless the work in Guyana and his people.

Thank you! Once again, the week serving in Guyana was life changing. The Kitty congregation, your excellent team, the hotel, food and staff were fantastic. Everyone stayed healthy. The Lord added twenty-eight to the church. My main assignment this year was personal work-Bible study teacher; although I did help with the Readers in the Eye clinic one afternoon. Rachel made sure we stayed hydrated. She watched as each of us our drank our water or gatorade. We all missed Colleen and Isaiah. In Him, Connie Hixson May 31-June 6th P.S.
