I accidently stumbled onto this site while looking for pictures of Afganistan and I was very touched by the pictures of the Twin Towers and the music and the comments that other people have left. I don't know really what to say. I find my mind doing the same thing that it did when I saw the news report on that day of September 11th of 2001--blank. |

| Thoughts, Wishes or Prayers: | Even though i am not an america, and i live an ocean away, doesn't mean we shouldn't care whats happening in our neighbouring country. What happen on Sep.11 left many people in a state of shock for months, maybe even for the rest of there lives. This is something that i hope, well everyone hopes will never happen again. Us Australians will help you Americans fight this till the end, until we get justice and peace. Also, i would like to send out my deepest sympathy and gratitude to all the families who lost loved ones, the heroic firefighters who lost there lives, and the men and women who risked there lives to help out. They all did a tremendous thing and will never be forgotten! Rest in Peace! I still remember when i heard, i didn't catch it on the news, but found out when i came online, and my friend could hardly talk, he had friends in NY at the time, even his girlfriend. He feared that he had lost them all, which turns out that he did.. Unfortunately he couldn't handle this, and wanted to be with his girlfriend and mates again, and he took his own life the night he found out they were gone. He was very brave and i respect the decision he made, but its just unfortunate he never told anyone or said goodbye first. God Bless America! |

| Thoughts, Wishes or Prayers: | The 11th september I was in my business, when a customer crossed in, totally pale and schaken. We turned on the news to CNN and VRT(our national broadcast). And what I saw was extremely frightening, we stood speakless, filled with anger and even some thoughts of hate. I don't belief in any relegion, but I only belief in whats real, like what happens on this tragic day, the loss of those American people, thats real!! Now, after 6 months, and after I visited all of the sites concerning these attacks, I still with disbelief, sometimes when I see or review the fotos, I even mourn and take away some teares. My thoughts are with the victims, what the have gone through during the hyjacking and burning of the buildings and also my thoughts are with the rescuers and all the families. I'm asking myself almost every day" How is it possible that people can do this". I'm a pro-american, since my childhood, and I will always be. I will never forget that day, and I will never forget the victims, and I will never forget America. Let us in peace, all over the world. |

U'r teacher desided to make somthing for all the people that alsot there lives. Each person in all the art classes made a dimond filled with there thoughts and fellings. At the end we put them together and they made stars. We hung them all around the school in memory of all the people that lost there lives help to save others. Our next project is to tack the 3 block area and eather build the towers angin or build a memoral. I'm doing a memoral with 3 building in the shape of the letters U.S.A. It will be seen from the same sattalight that showed the building fall. I hope we can always keep the thoughts of all the people how lost there live from someone's heat. |

| Thoughts, Wishes or Prayers: | I was a Police Cadet in Brooklyn assigned to the 75th Precinct in East New York when I reeported in at 7:30 am that morning. At around 9am I heard of the first plane striking the north tower of WTC. Then, another hits the south tower. I thought it was a joke.....nothing prepared me for what was about to happen. As my friends and police officers prepare, I told them to be careful. Then the towers came down. I can still hear the reporter's words echo on the radio..."the south tower of the WTC had just collapsed." I felt numb. Didnt know if my friend were there.....couldn't do anything.....there was nothing I could do. I didn't have the skill or training nor authority to do anything but I felt that if I could... The good thing is that my friends did return safely but had experiened the worst of the terror that has never left them to this day. In that precinct we've lost two members, but there were others that lost more. As I went out to different fire and police houses, I saw tons of cards and letters and flowers and tears. I pray for each family of the 343 firefighters, 23 NYPD and 36 NY/NJ Port Authority Police officers and the thousands of people who died doing what they do everyday.....live their lives. And to all of you out there...thank you. |

Evil was involved behind the master mind of all of this. What we need to remember is that there is a Grace in suffering. This is a definate war on terrorism, so says Mr. Bush. I can't believe it when my teachers say, "This has changed all of our lives. They will never be the same" I don't understand it all. Why would someone be so cruel? Someone so cruel as to kill thousands of people. On September 11th, I remember talking with my best friend about boys, movies we have seen, and the math test we had to take early that morning. When the teachers were watching the television screens, I noticed that look in all of their eyes. A look I could not explain. I try to think, "What if one of my close family members were there? How would I feel?" I could never imagine the pain they all are experiencing. If there is a long, and hard war, the question always goes through my mind, "What about the draft? Will they bring out the draft?" I really hope it doesn't come to that. I have three older brothers ages 26, 29, and 30. They are my best buds. We play video games, play football in the snow, watch scary movies, and my all time favorite, playing Rummy 500. If they had to go to war, I wouldn't know how I could go on. We learn about wars in school, and they never have been pleasant and many loved ones die. Thank you for reading my thoughts. I know now, that in all of my 23 years, I will never forget where I was on that day. | Thoughts, Wishes or Prayers: | I am 15, in 10th grade. On the 11th, I was sick and my mother kept me home. I sat and watched the news all day. My friends at school didn't see all of what was happaning, because the pricipal deemed the news "too graphic" and told the teachers to resume with the day's lesson. Most teaches turned off the TV's, but left radios on and completely forgot about teaching. I heard the next day that many students were making jokes and laughing immaturely at the footage of the twin towers, yelling "Sweet!" like it was all some dumb movie. One quote that will forever stick in my mind is one boy saying " Does this mean there's no TRL today?" I hope that these people can mature, and maybe someday they'll understand the magnitude of the situation. Though I will not enlist to fight, I will continue to donate money and food to those who have been affected. I hope everyone else does the same. *God bless america, my home sweet home* |
