I jumped on the Lips bandwagon relatively recently, and will always be left to wonder what would have happened if I bought Clouds Taste Metallic when I was an angry teenager playing Bad Days on the Batman Forever Soundtrack over and over again. I'm completely impressed by Steven's talent and dedication to music, and would be jealous if he didn't seem like such a cool and nice guy!

ive been a lips fan since hearing Yoshimi back in 2002 at the tender age of 14, and they have since grown into something of an obsession. i became aware of this club, as im sure lots of others did, after watching The Fearless Freaks, but ive only know worked up the courage to join. ive seen the lips only twice, but im going to see them again in Novemeber in Manchester. both times ive see them ive been overwhelmed by the energy of Wayne, the skill of Michael and Kliph and, of course, the god-like qualities of Steven and the music he makes.

Steven is my favorite on the drums, there is just something about his style that I love so much. After watching "The Fearless Freaks" I really saw how dynamic of a musician he is, and how he kind of had the odds stacked against him with his addiction.
Steven Drozd is an amazing musician and an awesome dude. I'm glad there is a club for appreciation of him.

Over the past year I have become a fan of the Lips. A friend turned me on to them and I think they are are incredible to say the least. When most radio play today is vomit, these guys are making music like no other . Steven is a musical genius, I mean how many more instruments can one human play at once? I wish these guys would come to Phoenix, but since they won't be I am going to Monolith to see them for the fist time. Me and a friend are selling our Police tickets to fund our trip to see the greatest band since Pink Floyd and the Who.

I've only been a Lips fan for a year and initially purchased the last three cd's.Yesterday I got 'The Fearless Freaks'and the Steven segment was heartbreakingly mesmerizing.When I read Steven's contributions to the last three albums was inestimable and many if not all of the melodies and flourishes were his that sealed the deal.Such gorgeous,haunting songs,I mean these tunes get inside my soul and grip hard,tears flow from eyes,and lovely earworms abound.I hope Steven graces us with lots of music in the future,for me not since Lennon/McCartney have I heard such beautiful melodies from a 'mainstream',if you will,band.
I am currently unemployed in yucky Michigan with a wife and two kids,so any purchases from the store will have to wait.I wanted to sign up though...Thanks!

I have recently returned from Roskilde festival where I saw The Flaming Lips play an awesome show at the main stage. To me it was again a pure joy to see how Steven played the beautiful keyboard on "Yoshimi battles the pink robots", sing the soaring vocals on "Pompei am G�tterd�mmerung" and of course handle the talk box in "The yeah yeah yeah song". Being a keyboard-player/guitarist/bass-player/songwriter myself, I have the utmost respect for Steven and his extraordinairy musicals skills and visions.

Steven and I were in 8th grade band together. I played trombone and he of course played drums. He was awesome then and still is. Steven, Kevin Schimdt and a kid named John made a recording as a class project that was totally awesome and is a classic.
