| Comments: | "I Hope You Dance," is one of my favorite songs and also a dream I have had for my two daughters with OI. They are both teenagers now. They don't walk, but did try when they were very little. Megan's pictures were so adorable, and reminded me of my girls when they were babies. Now my oldest will be graduating from high school next year and is planning to go to college. She is beginning her dance; with tears in my eyes I watch and pray that her dreams will never be limited. I met your Mommy today at the dentist office with my son Cameron. You are so lucky to have such a wonderful Mommy. She told me about your story and Cameron and I wanted to let you know that we are so proud of you even though we have never met you! Cameron is 3 and is challenged with Growth Hormone Deficiency, he also goes to see the great Doctors at Hopkins, just like you. His diagnosis is in no way a comparison to yours, however, we wanted to let you know you are never alone. This is what we tell Cameron. My baby is 9 months old; she is only 12 lbs. unable to sit or turn in bed. Initially, we were told that she might have OI type 2B or 3; now they moved her between 3 and 4 because we only had two fractures besides the two femurs broken at birth. What type of OI is Magen? How soon was she able to sit? What techniques did you use to teach her? Was her head larger than normat? Please try to get back to me. I have been unable to talk to other parents about situations like these. I wrote lots of messages but it looks like people are very busy and don't have the time to return messages.
