I'd be the first to admit that I don't like Tomoe very much. Thewoman bothers me because she's so darn cold! I mean, when I first saw the OAV's, she barely spoke and in the back of her mind all she was thinking of was a way to do poor Kenshin in. In fact, I don't remember her actually saying much at all except "I'm sorry but there was no radish to grate for dinner". You'd think that a married couple would be able to talk to each other but a dinner conversation with Tomoe is like talking to the dead. A man like Kenshin seems to be overwhelmed by duties and burdened with guilt, I doubt he'd need a walking corpse for a wife as well. I also noticed that you were the creator af a megumi and sano site. Hey, could you please email me at least coz I would really love to have a conversation wid u. | Comments: | In my opinion, one of the BEST RK sites in the web, not to mention that I love the Intro page (GO ZELGAGIS! one of the best characters in Slayers, next to Xellos, Filia and Lina. Can someone tell me why Gourry is in Slayers? he's useless to the series).
I have to agree with you in most of what you say about Kaoru and Tomoe. However, if you think about it, Kaoru will never accept the fact that Himura the Battousai is Himura Kenshin. All the times Kaoru sees the Battousai, she worries that she'll never get Kenshin back, and tries numerous times to stop him from being the Battousai. Whereas Tomoe, she's seen him as Himura the Battousai and as Kenshin, she's seen and accepted both sides to Kenshin and not to mention the fact that she accepted them as her lover too. As to her death, she threw herself infront of both fighters to stop Kenshin's death, he was badly wounded, blinded by blood and fatigue, and it seemed that his mind was all screwed up by the lies he was fed about Tomoe. If she hadn't thrown herself, my guess is that Kenshin would've been killed along with the other guy. And the scar would've never stopped bleeding whenever he killed since he needed a stronger hate to cancel out the first scar. Therefore if none of that would've happened he wouldn't have that kick ass scar he has now ^_^x Kaoru is strong, loud, tomboyish, hot-tempered, cute, and a bad cook, but that's her charm and i love her. I agree that Kenshin seems happy and shows that he cares a lot for her. But there's also my suspicion that Megumi loves Kenshin (I've only seen the OVA's, the Movie and up to DVD 10, so i don't know if she really loves him or she just cares for him, as for Sanosuke, i think she just treats him like a brother and sister relationship). |

| Comments: | i don't think tomoe is that bad...i mean, she's one of those 'strong silent' types. think about it. if your fiance was killed, and then u lived with his murderer, how would u feel?! would u be able to say anymore than 'sorry, we don't have raddishes'? i thought it was sweet of her to be concerned. anyway, without tomoe, kenshin would still be a hitokiri and he would never have met kaoru or fell in love with her.
over all, i think that both woman showed up at just the right time to change kenshin's life, and kenshin DID love both of them. ps. miaka is not actually 'whiny' or 'stupid'. she is relatively smart, compared to usagi, and there is proof of this, like how she was able to figure out how to save minna in episode 6 or 7 or 8-u know, the mirror incident. and, unlike usagi, she doesn't cry over ANYTHING, and she doesn't trip or whatever and then cry about it. also, if u don't mind me saying, i think u shouldn't bias your reviews...it can really offend people, even if u put 'this is only my opinion'. |

| Comments: | Superb site apart from the opinion of Tomoe which is of course, entirely yours. Just give her a bit more credit, her fiance WAS killed .Though she plotted with them to kill Kenshin , it was circumstance after all he had killed her fiance,and she wanted revenge but her feelings changed as she got to know him. Her death was noble and I would not say she was 'cold'. Kenshin was not any better back then although he has changed a great deal. Though Kaoru is one of my favourite characters and Kenshin/Kaoru are THE couple, I salute Tomoe for giving Kenshin some happiness during his Battousai days and starting him on the path towards the wonderful rurouni we love today! ^_^
PS: Kenshin was getting his ass kicked in that fight. ;P |

I also loathe Sayo, she's such a bitch who is so weak and childish and believes in what she believes and doesn't open to the beliefs of others. The Sano Megumi thing can really work out and besides there is nothing in their way. They get the attention of each other and in the episode where Sano finds this dog that has a key to some place, When Sano leaves the dog with Megumi, a patient asks 'Is that tall young handsome man your suitor?' and Megumi lets her fox ears out and blushes while punching the patient in the foot. I love your site...really I do! |
