| Comments: | It is unfortunate that the canceling of the show in the snow ruined some people’s plans. I feel that these guys should not be too upset or disappointed with these guys. They were disappointed by the canceling. They, and Kelly’s, were only looking out for people’s safety. If you felt confident to drive in that mess, well more power to ‘ya, but doesn’t mean everyone else did. Even though this is WI, a lot of people do not know how to drive in this stuff. Other than human error, nature plays a part in so many accidents. Where I live, it was near white out conditions. Also, it is impossible to control a car once it hits ice. I’m sure people would have felt very sad if someone (a fan or a band member) would have been hurt or killed in a car accident traveling to or from the show.
Even though other bands did play that night – well, again more power to them – another popular area band canceled a major show as well. I feel that the bands and other people involved in pulling the plug that night put safety and true concern before playing a show. (I’m not saying here that the people in the bands who did play were not concerned about people’s safety.) I guess I don’t have that rock ‘n roll mentality like some people (to never cancel a show), and in this instance, I believe, it was a good thing. |

We were very disappointed too when the club called us at 2:30pm and asked us to cancel the show. We didn't want to initially and asked if we could wait for a few more hours before making that decision to see if the weather let up. We waited but the forecast looked like it was going to be grim the rest of the night and with the club wanting us to cancel, we agreed to. We were hoping that people would call the club before travelling or check our website. We tried to communicate the cancellation by email, website postings, MySpace messaging, etc. but it looks like we didn't reach everyone. We apologize for that and hope we never have to cancel another show again. It was only the second time I'd ever cancelled a show in over 20 years of gigging. Again, our sincerest apologies to all that made the trek to see us at Kelly's Bleachers. We will be back there sometime in the spring and hope that you'll forgive us and give us another shot!! |

For all we know, Front House may be giving us a compliment by saying are backup vocals sound just like the CD. I hope that's the case. We all work very hard at getting our parts right and we take great pride in being able to have strong backup vocals and solid harmonies and filling the necessary space with just 3 voices. Apparently, to Front House, our harmonies were loud, full, and "on the money". We do think that our vocals are one of our strong points and we're happy to be compared to the CD. However, if he still thinks we had "help", he's welcome to look around!! :^) |

| Comments: | Thanks again #1! I don't think other bands that do the "sampling bit" are necessarily trying to "fool" their audience but it does help make your "live" sound perfect. We prefer to "keep it real" as they say and we only do material we think we can pull off LIVE! Sometimes we succeed and sometimes we don't. But that's part of being up on stage "without a safety net" so to speak.
I've got lots of opinions on the subject but I think when you pay to see a band perform live, they should perform "LIVE". That's what we do. Can others say the same thing? I dunno.... |

If they were serious, it's probably because so many bands do sampling of backing vocals, guitars, special effects, etc. to enhance their performance. We have NEVER and will NEVER use any samples for backing vocals or anything else. Other than possibly an intro tape, what you see is what you get with METAL MEN. |
