| Comments: | Wow i loved all your photos of Tormead in the 80s! I go to Tormead and am currently in year 10 (5th form). Things have changed a lot since you were there, but I still recognise the photo of the netball courts with the drama studio next to it (it may have been squash courts then). Sadly it was recently demolished but a large performing arts centre is being built there now. Thankyou for the photos! |

| Comments: | Kristy and I had the wildest time after we left Ocean City. We drove to Annapolis and decided to batton down the hatches for the night in an off the highway dive called The Village Inn. We both had to pee like racehorses, so we decided to check in despite the tragic look of the place. The overnight girl at the office took so long and we were so overtired that we laughed at everything which made us have to pee more. We danced our way to our room and made a mad dash to the water closet. And, as luck would have it, the toilet didnt work!!! We called to get the handy-man to come and in the mean time, we were introduced to Rusty Nail. Now if you've ever seen the movie Joyride, you understand perfectly our dilemma. Two rooms down from us was a man of questionable dress. He was smoking a cigarrette and watching us as we unloaded our luggage. An hour later we decided to get some dinner from the store. We're all excited about our food (as all true Western New Yorkers are)and totally forgot about Rusty. Apparently, he hadn't forgotten about us. He was outside waiting to meet us, again smoking (it's a wonder this guy didn't bring back the black lung plague). He sauntered over to us and in a barely intelligible voice asked us if everything was ok. Now I'm a straight up girl, but Kristy in front of me was taking her time so I shoved her butt in the door just as Rusty blubbered something else we couldn't understand. Kristy immediately transformed our room into Fort Knox...put the desk in front of the door and a chair on top of it. It wasn't long before we realized we were thirsty. Guess where our spring water was? In the car. So we haggled over it and decided to venture out the 4 feet to my Neon. As soon as we had the water and were closing my car door, who do we see? Rusty Nail. It was pure terror!!!! 15 minutes later we heard knocking on our room walls. It ended up ok, but boy, what a scare. |
