Hi (is Mike)? I to am trying to restored my vintage California Black & Gold license plate. With a lot of trouble in my future, I think. I have a 1958 15" Catolac DeVille that I'm going to restore, but not until I get this resolved. If there is anyway you can make this process any easier, it would be wonderful. Thank you, Michael j San Jose, Ca

Love reading your blog. We just restored a tiny tear drop and are thinking of getting a 1955 trailer similar to yours, but I think it may be too heavy for my Volvo 850 to tow. I'm having a hard time finding specs on this old canned ham we have our eye on. I think it's called a Westerner but can't find any info about it. The guy who is selling it is unsure what he should charge for it...I'm finding prices all over the place, from $400.00 to $6,000.00. It's all original and looks clean on the inside, just needs some spit and polish. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for your trailer when you bought it? Thanks for sharing your project! Wendy

Very nice restoration job on the Crown. I have a 1950 Crown that I just put on ebay for no reserve, it is about $100 and ends in five days. Maybe someone in your club would like to have it since it is located next door in Arizona. the ebay number is 180366860556. Happy motoring. Geo

Love your blog! Love what you did to your trailer! I just purchased a 1952 Crown all origonal but needs work of course. Will probably leave it silver and redo the inside. You did a great job on yours! Loved looking at the progress.
