was a Sweeney, and unfortunately, I am not having much luck in my search. The farthest back I have traced is Robert Fields Sweeney(12/13/1822-5/3/1907). He married A woman named Sarah(7/14/1822-6/8/1891). They had a son together named William Green Sweeney(9/24/1844-12/14/1911). William married Mary Hester (Carver) Sweeney(1/26/1841-4/23/1911). They had four children, Robert Fields Sweeney, Sarah Ann Surrilda (Sweeney) Johnson Cook, Robert Washington Sweeney, and Joseph Erastus Sweeney. Joseph Erastus(9/21/1878- 4/15/1953) married Martha Emma Corinne(Binkley) Sweeney (2/2/1877-11/12/1912). Joseph is my great great grandfather. I believe that these Sweeney's lived in Tennessee, and I am not sure as to when My Sweeney ancestors immigrated to America. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
