We have acquired an old (possibly very old) etching press made by "Furnival" (of Reddish and London) and we are trying to refurbish it. We think we may be missing various small bits such as brass axle bearers, springs and cast iron spacer blocks, as we can't get the rollers to sit in the correct positions using the pieces we have. We would be delighted to hear from anyone who has any knowledge of repairing/reassembling old presses or who could point us in the right direction to find books or plans, etc. |
