So far there have been exact matches between the Misner family of Ulster and Sullivan Co, NY; the Misner family of PA; the Misenar family of PA and MI; the Misener family of Welland Co, ON (from Sussex Co, NJ); the Mizner/Mizener family from Somerset Co, NJ; and the Mizener family from Brome Co, Quebec. It is looking like they all descend from Richard and Elizabeth Misner of Sussex Co, NJ and their 3 sons: Nicholas, Adam, and Heinrich/Henry. The more men who carry the Misner name (or any variant) to do the test, the closer we come to solving the puzzle.

Until then I'm willing to send the info to anyone who is interested. The info was gathered from christening records, census records, various family histories, plus any other info found. I DO NOT guarantee the accuracy of the info though because I've found that the NS family rarely knew their birth dates or ages!!

Catharine's parents are a Unknown, her marriage date & place are Unknown. I would love to find her parents, could she be a Misener, Misner, Mizner from Nova Scotia? Has anyone a Catharine born around that time with an unknown husband who moved to Ontario, could be mine. The oldest Census I have of them is in Wainfleet, Ontario 1841, Willis as a farmer.
