I found this comic when you were still updating it, and thought it was just so awesome. A couple times every year I came back, and as a fellow artist I understood what had happened when the updates fizzled out. Even knowing I will never see any more RTS, I still come back. I still tell all my friends about it and make them read it. I'm glad you left it up... but There is another option. Find a talented 16-year-old who reminds you of yourself and ask them to take the torch. It might not grow up to become what you originally intended, but RTS might still have a happy life ahead of it. |

Imagine that, on her person, the author had been carrying a special electronic bracelet which sensed her death, and at that moment sent out a special signal which activated a shredder-furnace combination, programmed to destroy all of her work, as well as her hard notes about the ensuing books in the series. Imagine the distress of her fans.
Imagine that, through secret sciences, a group of researchers developed a technique for mass emotional alteration, and decided to put it to use for humanitarian purposes. Naturally, their first mission would be to use it on the millions of HP fans who were at that moment physically writhing in abject disappointment at the tragic cutting short of their favourite series. Imagine that they did so, and that all these people were returned to a state of mildly confused felicity. Imagine that the experiment had one unforeseen side-effect, resulting from their miscalculation of the manipulation of emotional mass (An undeniably iffy branch of mathematics.) But one thing should strike everyone who thinks its gone forever as odd. It's still here. If it was ment to disappear, wouldn't she have stopped paying the hosting fees on her sites? So let us not give up. There may be more, and I think she knows we still love her work. So indeed as many have said Vera, if you read this please do at least update your news. |
