 I live in Italy and I can only speak little English , I like however testify my interest and respect for the Mr. Fox's battle. I have read from little his book and I have found it illuminant.  Colleen, Michael J. Fox is NOT dead. If he were to die, I can assure you it would be a leading news story for weeks and there would be no way to avoid knowing it, unless you live in a cave with no contact to the outside world. If your boyfriend needs proof of his recent existence, point him to YouTube and do a search on Michael J. Fox. He has been on several talk shows in the past few months and he seems to be quite alert and non-dead - and not in the 'zombie' way of undead. :)

 I just want to say that I think that Michael is an amazing man. I was angry at Rush Limbaugh's attack on him.  Mr. Fox, I just wanted to tell you that I have so much respect and kind thoughts for you and your family. I know how much it must hurt to see you go through what you are dealing with. I deal with it everytime I see my mother. I love her to death and she was diagnosed with PKD about 5 years ago. She is one of the most stong minded and stuborn people that I have ever had the pleasure of having in my life. All these people who say that you can control how your body reacts is totally ignorant to the fact that this disease does not let you decide when you are going to have a good or a bad day.  Though I have a moral obligation to oppose all "embryonic" stem cell research, I ALSO have a moral obligation to condemn the mean-spirited lie recently broadcast about M.J.F. by Rush Limbaugh. Such balderdash! Suggesting that M.J.F. could "turn on the suffering" for the cameras - for someone's political gain - is an insult to any sensible person's intelligence. Limbaugh owes all people suffering from PKD or any other neuro-muscular disease an apology. Mr. Fox supports a particular "option" utilized by a very legit, very necessary medical science; an "option" that many moralists sincerely believe is objectively evil. THAT SAID: I can at least respect Mr. Fox for moving forward with what HE sincerely believes is an effort born of good conscience; at least he isn't moping around in self pity. I hope and pray to God that stem cell research that DOESN'T involve discarded embryonic material bears good fruit, and soon.

 Dear Michael, I have been a long time fan of yours but this ad that you have for stem cell research has me fuming. You obviously have no idea what it takes to obtain stem cells from the embryo. When the infant is near delivery the doctor flips the infant into a breech position. This is done so that the baby does not breathe--therefore making it murder. When the head is just about to deliver, the doctor rams a sharp object into the base of the brain and then the brain is vacuumed out. The organs and cells are then harvested for research and transplants. I have been a nurse for nearly 22 years and have taken care of many terrible afflictions in patients. I myself have health issues. I can guarrantee you that I would rather bear ANY affliction myself as opposed to having an infant die so that I may have a better life. I am not against research--just research that includes murder. There is only one sure thing in this life and that is we are all going to die from something, but does an unborn infant deserve partial birth abortion? Do you really believe that your own life is more valuable? If you didn't do your research before doing this commercial--shame on you. If you did this commercial with full knowlegde---then double shame on you. Then you don't deserve respect OR a cure.

 Dear Mr. & Mrs.Fox, firstly, I would like to say that I hope that this note will find you two in good spirits, and it will put a smile on your both of your faces. I was watching the last episode to Sex, Buys, and Advertising, and I found myself just crying and yet laughing at the same time. (I'm not one to get emotional) Even during the worse moments you've still found a silver lining in the whole ordeal. When I seen that episode, it just reminded me of how positive and determine you are regardless of your struggle with PD. I am diagnose with RA and Lupas, and when I start feeling down I just watch one of your episodes or read one of your articles. I hope that Mrs. Fox is doing well also (which I know this is effecting her also)which people have a tendency of forgetting that you are a family man. But I had to share this with you. There has not been too many actors, comedians, or directors (you have too many titles) that move me such as you have. To make it short (since I am blabbing away) I will keep you two in my prayers.
