| Comments: | I loved this show when I was young. I started watching it in the early 90's, before it switched to Noggin. I think I saw almost every episode. I really wish they would put this out on DVD or something. I may do some fan art for my Photoshop class, and use the show as a subject if I can find any high quality images. I'm sorry the show didn't last longer. I saw it once or twice when it was on PBS, but I really got into it when it started showing on Noggin. | Comments: | I can't say I was the biggest fan of Ghostwriter in the world. I haven't met the cast, or burned all my VHS homemade episodes onto a DVD, but it did have a big impact on my life in 1994! I was so young, but it was like my 2nd favorite show, and I watched it whenever I could! For some reason the Gooey Gus episode is the one that sticks in my mind the most from the mid nineties, and I don't know why. I think it was because I was all excited about that "Who didn't get slimed" promotion. Heh, some promotion. They got cancelled right after that! :P I guess it wasn't their fault. Anyway, my favorite episode was "Who is Max Mouse?"
I think that Ghostwriter was and still is a great show! I think that the Public Broadcasting System should readopt all the old shows and play them more often and uncut than Noggin does. | Comments: | I loved the show so much, to the point where I had a "casebook" and several of those mini-mysteries, like the one where Lenni's dad takes the gang to a Knicks game and his ticket is fake... And the one where Jamal befriends an old woman, who dies and leaves him Benjamin Franklin's signature to give to the community centre, etc.
For Halloween I'm going as Jamal! P.S. The new Ghostwriter mysteries, like all remakes of old shows are not very good. Some other examples: Transformers, Ghostbusters, Power Rangers, etc. |
