| Comments: | I was a huge fan of Schenker since his UFO days, then he flaked out. He can't do a tour or gig without cancelling at some point. He is not reliable and has no concern for his fans. It seems like lately he only cares about his solos. His songwriting, riffs and band selection are a mere afterthought.
I, like many others, give up on this headcase and will never spend another penny on his uninspired, unoriginal crap anymore. If you all did the same, maybe he would get the message or seek professional help. Guitar playing gets you so far, at some point you have to develop a personality and, at least, some business sense. |

I guess that's how I tapped into these bands because I was born in 72 and unfortunately wasn't exposed to this great era. When I get the chance, I try to play msg on guitar while listening to the cd. It brings to me to a different time and place it's hard to explain. It also spurs on creative ideas for me. I just discovered your site and I am on the hunt for two songs; one I believe was called "hold on" an instrumental off what ablum I'm not sure and another called " this is my heart that's calling" two awesome songs Id love to get my hands on. | Comments: | I got a chance to meet the legend in Sedona, AZ at the Sedona Jazz Festival. I saw him at the concert but I'll be honest with you. I did not know who he was. That night my friends and I went to a restaurant called Steaks & Sticks and in the back room, he and a young lady were playing pool and hanging out. We went back there, where there were about 8 people total, and began hanging out and talking. After about a 1/2 an hour, his friend told me who he was and the rest of the night was pretty cool. A lot of music talk. I'd post the pic if I could figure out how to.

I can't believe how the Mogg/Way/Schenker combination just keeps growing in complexity, maturing in song writing and Michael's wondrous and fierce interludes keep gaining intensity, intricacy and inspiration. (Like the three i's?)
Anyway, I'm one of the biggest fans anywhere. Got to meet Michael in Boise a few years past at the bus depot, get my name on "Thank You I" and have enjoyed everything from his first 15-year-old virtuoso performance on Scorpion's "Lonesome Crow" (boy did he kick sand in those boys' faces) to UFO to MSG, his solo efforts, his Contraband collarboration and, finally, with another great reunification with UFO. If you guys are like me, I have enjoyed everything he has done, and the sheer diversity of his playing from his fierce rock solos with MSG to neo-classical instrumental performances on his "Thank You" solo efforts have proven him to be inspired. I am pleased to know my guitar god has such a loyal and unique following worldwide. I am also pleased he has the longevity to keep up his effort to constantly improve and strive for a plateau of consciousness both philosophically and musically. He is indeed a fine individual and a musician to be admired by all (including other guitarists I have known.) Thanks to you, Mondria, keep your page going and get some new information updated.
