| Yours if the FIRST. Have never searched for Appaloosa horses and found a site which mentions the name CHRIST. My background sounds a lot like yours --- saved as a kid, but raised heck as an adult; and then a catastrophic event led me back to HIM ... and Im not leaving HIM ever again! I know my Appies are a very special 'gift' from Him.
My website is not up yet, but will go online as soon as possible, as my colt will stand at stud this year for the first time! He's a dream! The Best! ... and may God Bless. |

| Hi Michael,
I just returned from a trip to Missoula Mt to take my 23 year old daughter to Montana Teen challenge (a christian +18 womens residential rehab program), she is a drug addict. We are from Mississippi and she had never been in the mountains before or seen such beautiful landscape... and fell in love with the cattle (smile, ahem hmm she kept calling them 'awesome') and the horses. If you feel led, please Pray for her. I found your website when I looked up christian and cow on a search engine...I am thinking 'down-the-road' that she might want to go to some kind of "cow? school." I dont have a clue. Anyone reading this who has any input...please email me at karenharvill@yahoo.com Thanks, God Bless! Karen |

| Hello there everyone,
I loved your site. And I would like to say great job done, for Christ and the page.My husband went to Bible College there in Minn. for 6 yrs.(just to let you know)And like you, our stories are about the same.We became christains early in life, didn't change for a long time. But when we did,We sure seen the hand of God working in our lives. My husband is now the co-pastor at our little country church, and I am the youth group leader. It's amazing the things you do, and never thought of doing before, when you give your heart to God.Not to change the subject but,I could write all night so I'll go on with the letter now.I have 2 palomino Appys and I love the mare to death, but the 3yr.old filly is alittle (?) loss for words. Lets just say, she doesn't like me and the feeling is the same on this end.I taught her everything she knows and she won't do anything for me,but for ANYONE else, she's as good as gold. The prefect horse. For me, she Trys to run me over and nothing I do changes her mind. I have recently fallen in love with Arabians(BLACK is my favorite)and would like to breed my mare to one. And I would like to get one of my own to show.I am from Kentucky and the love of horses have always been there. I stumbled upon your page while trying to get some answers to some questions I have and sense your a cowboy, maybe you can answer them for me.When I went on vacation I borded my horses at an Arabian farm and with Their chooses being Arabains, one of them asked what kind of horses are these.I said Appaloosas. She said oh,basically just a quarter horse. What I would like to know is, Is an appy considered a quarter horse? and what about mo.fox trotters, are they considered quarter horses?I am trying to get my horses Registered and in order to do that these are just a few questions that I need answers to,so if you can help,I would be very greatful.Oh,and by the way if you would like to buy a 3 yr,old Appy, she's $2000.00 I'm not kidding, I told you we don't get along, she needs someone that can keep her in line.No one better than a cowboy. have a great day,and God Bless you and your loved ones. VERY FEW THINGS MATCH RIDING DURING SUNSET! KIM |

| Well, I must say I enjoyed the visit. I have always wanted
to have a horse. I remember making horses, when I was a tot, out of locus limbs and using a nail to attach a reign. So many years ago. Ya, I graduated in 64,Ohio. I must say, I don't have a favorite breed horse. I love them all. I should of been a farmers or ranchers wife. I know it is hard work, but Oh the rewards. I think that Tammy got very lucky when she ran across you. I am sure she knows that. As for now, I must settle for just going to the neighbors barn and trying to make the 4 horses he has lives a little better. I feel so helpless though sometimes as they are in need of attention, but they are not mine to have the say over. Oh well, like I say, I just do what I can. These are race horses, for the most part, well mannered. Soon, I hope to be giving them a bath, which will be my first ever, no not me, the horse..LOL Well, rattled on long enough, Again I enjoyed the visit. I will be back. Thanks for the invite. Betty |

| Hi!
I found your site while I was searching for Christian Horse Related sites. I just thought I'd let you know that I thought it was really cool! You did a great job on it. Also, what you're doing to help POW/MIAs is wonderful. I spent two years in USMC Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps. Ever since then I've had the nothing but respect for men and women who serve their country honorably. It always breaks my heart to think of how awful many Amercans treated the men who served in Vietnam and how many of them needlessly died over there. I would really like to do something to help all of the POWs who are still over there. Could you tell me how someone can go about "adopting" one like you did? I would really appreciate it if you did. Another thing I found really encouraging about your site is you and your wife's dedication to the Lord. It was neat to hear about how you two met and how God has worked in your lives. I am a born-again Christian (since '93) and have accepted the call into full-time ministry. I'll be going to college to become a minister after I finish highschool. In the meantime I am serving the Lord in every way I can. This summer, I will be traveling with Teen Mania Ministries to South Africa on a mission trip. (God willing) And I have just founded a non-profit, Christ-centered youth outreach like no other. Standing in the Gap Youth Ministries is a Christ-centered equestrian program that teaches the basics of horseback riding, horsecare, and barn management to children and teenagers. But really, we strive to do much more than that. Our goal is to take the unconditional love, acceptance, and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to a hurting and confused generation of young people. A generation many call "without a purpose" and "too far gone to reach". (I.E."GenerationX") We, at Standing in the Gap, know none of that is true! They are NOT "worthless", "stupid", or any other lie the world trys to tell them! They are more precious than they could ever know. Each and every single one of them has a God-given purpose for being here and a calling to fulfill. And that is what we strive to help them find. We do not force anything on them - our motto is "Come as you are - you will be loved." - but we strive to show them a better a way - Jesus - through everything we do and say. (Matt 5:14-16, 7:20) If they come to know the Lord - then that's awesome! We will help them find a loving church and youth group. If not, maybe we will have planted a seed that will some day blossom. We also offer a discipleship program for anyone interested in becoming a volunteer. So far we are still in the very beginning stages - i.e. getting a core group of volunteers together, obtaining donations (horses, tack, equipment, ect.), and so on. But just last Thursday we received our first donation! A really nice Christian lady from North Carolina donated her appaloosa gelding, Ima Go Too, to us for use in our equestrian program. There's no doubt in my mind that this was miracle from God! "Homey" is perfectly suited for what we're trying to do. It just had to have been God's hand directing both of our steps that day. :-) Anyhow, I didn't mean to ramble on so long. I just wanted to let you know how awesome I thought your site was and how great it was to stumble upon a fellow Believer. I pray you and your family will stay on-fire, bold, strong, and courageous in your stand for Jesus Christ and if I don't see you all before then, I'll be seeing you in Heaven. Take care and God Bless. Consumed by the Call, Morghan Rebekah Jarvis |

| You have some beautiful horses. We have an eight year old
mare due to foal in April. She also is a solid App., bred to a leopard App. I don't care if we get color, just a healthy, happy baby. We also have 2 Belgians. One 18 year old and a yearling. Both the gentlest horses you ever met. We wish you success and happiness in the future. I looks like you are well on your way. |

| Hello, You site caught my attention for several reasons in
this case I was surfing for APPY sites. Then yours came up and we have several things in common JESUS CHRIST first then I graduated from high school @ Goodridge MN (near Thief River Falls. To go back a little further I lived in Superior MT 1968-1972. I've enjoyed looking around your web page. I am in need of some help in my horse life. He goes... I have a 1986 mare that is 1/2 APP & 1/2 Arab. She (Alli) was register 1/2 Arab but nobody got around to reg her App. I have known this mare since Sept '92. I was able to purches her from my closest friend in July '97. I had her bread to an App stud wanting another good family horse. Well I got that and a boat load of color to boot. I went to reg the filly (Joy) and found out that the breeding for (Alli) in 1985 is on record but she was never reg App. My Filly is now 17mo old and I've found Alli's sire and dam both are living and still showing and well over 20yrs old. I've also found that the owner of the sire at the time of breading as died and I now am attempting to contact her family. So far the Owner of the Dam at the time of Alli's birth I can not locate. Here is my question I have and can obtain all the papers that were filed for reg 1/2 arab this has every ones signatures on it. Is there some appeal process I can go through at the App Association. Alli diserves to be recognised as an APPY and Joy (her filly) is not only beautiful but has the same wonderful willing and gentle personallity that Alli and her Sire and Dam all have. I do not really care if Joy is ever shown I want most of all to be able to preserve the good blodlines these horses have. I'm new to this and I'm frustrated. I would like to find an advicate that can help me to navigate this path but I also want to be ethical. If you can help or know some one who can I'd appreciate knowing about it.
