Comments:Bought the last version of a great bike! A brand new 2007 xr650r. I 'm ready to store it away in it's crate. Come see it maybe in twenty years when it's a original classic and never been started.

Oh! and by the way, I have other great Honda dirt bikes that I' ve collected along the way of my 42 year old life.
my motto:
Keep riding and don't stop till the wheels fall off!!!!!!

Comments:Just purchased a 04 650r! Electrex dual sport kit on order. Think I might go with a big gun race system but I think it might be to loud for street use. Planning on heavy airbox mods and an HRC kit! Maybe even a Mikuni. We'll see. I want to build this bike for max HP while still using high octane pump gas. I would really appreciate any help that might come my way! This sight rocks!

Comments:I got my xr650r about a year ago. some people are happy with
a little power. but power is like good sex leaving you allways wanting more. the more you get the more you need.
I did do alot of things to this big red bike, since i had open class two strokes this bike was great but needed more
after big gun exhaust system, open up the restrictions in the intake with jetting that helped. but it was like when the woman in you life says dont stop know I put a hot cam stage 1 cam with a 12.5 wisco piston and race gas. Now it runs better than anyone should need but why stop there! port and polish the head just to round off things stainless valves too. Now I just want to know is there anything else can i do??? power power it is just like a good woman why stop at only once commmmmmmmm on there has to be more.

I like hill climbing and sometimes I need that extra boost to get up a hill. I do not know anyone who has bought the kit so if someone who has the kit could e-mail me and tell me their thoughts on the kit I would appreciate it.

Comments: I love this bike! Before I ever rode it I changed the jetting, intake, airbox baffle, and modified the stock muffler tip($100 for HRC-no way!) I live in MI and the only requirements for street legality are speedo, horn, and brake lights. $75 later I can ride this machine anywhere I want. I mostly ride on dirt roads, jeep trails and national forest land. While cumbersome in tight stuff the XR is comfortable enough for lenghthy rides; as long as speeds are above 15mph or so. I could go on but you guys already know what an awesome tool this thing is.

Comments:G'day Pig Brothers,

Just dropping a line to let everyone know how much I enjoy my XR 650R. With the most tractable and user friendly power curve I've experienced, this is one big bike that is amazingly easy to ride. I've had my 01 for a year now and it has given me bullet proof reliability and service. I even rode it from Cairns to the tip of Cape York and return without a support vehicle and big red just loved it. I was extremely impressed with its ability to overtake. By the time your passing the 4wd with trailer on the bikes hitting 150 kph and doing it in sure footed style.

Long live the Pig.

In the process of immigrating to Adeliade from the UK. Need a machine when I get there. Luckily I've stumbled upon this site. Have sourced a beast in Adelaide and have just been convinced by this page that I'm doing the right thing. Thanks to Rob at Peter Stevens Motorcycles, I'll be able to convert to Motard style. Everything that I've surfed up on the 2001 XR650R has been positive to say the very least. Will be putting this to test in about 7 weeks - Yeehaaaaaaaa

Comments:Purchased July 11/02. Found the suspension a little rough and engine far too quiet. Bike is geared too high for trails. Solution??? I'll try ISO 22 fork and shock oil, likely a high quality turbine or compressor oil. Possibly a 13/52 sprocket combo, maybe a 12 front if available. After break-in I'll use a 15w50 synthetic oil in the engine/trans. Any comments/ advise??
