I finally, healed from my last surgery and am now studying to do income tax preparations. All that knew how much math was a struggle for me will be amazed. I will be working again in December. I have not worked in 8 years and I am so excited! Many of you know my Dad and some know my mom and they are alive and well in Las Cruces, New Mexico. My sister Patricia is in Kentucky, and I am still here in Sioux City Iowa. Things are looking up for me and I hope that this finds all of you well. Chad and all, Thank You so much for letting Daphne know that she has been on my mind. I miss school, I wish that I could go back as the person I am now. I think you would all see a difference and really enjoy the person I have become. I am still not the athlete type but I have come out of my shell and learned to love and take care of myself. I guess my friend Carla Mead is still in Craig and she is working at the Air Port in Steamboat Springs. I have lost touch with so many. | Comments: | First off, many many thanks to the hard workers who pulled off a very fun weekend for the '88 reunion. I know some of us could have done without seeing our cheesy pics on our nametags though! :) For a bunch of people nearing the big "40", everybody looked just great. And it was quite a surprise to see so many other young kids, I thought Jill and I would be so out of place with our 2 year old and 8 month old. I guess we're not the only crazy ones.
Annaliese (sp?), sorry you couldn't make it. we made sure Daphne knew you were thinking about her. Eric T. Knez, if you're still here in Junction, lets visit before you move away. Steven Booker is now a Moffat County Sheriff's deputy. Frank Schmedeke is now a Craig Police Department Officer. Anthony Gianinetti is now a Craig Police Department Officer. Glen P. Sherman was a Police Chief now retired and moved to California (he is still living). Heather Sweet is now a School Teacher. Kip Hafey is now a School Teacher. Susan Nicholson is still a teacher to this very day in Sunset Elementary School. Michael Smith still lives in Colorado but moved to Nucla, Colorado. Harry Kourlis is now a physician in Houston, Texas. Mario Delgado is still working at City Market. My co-worker, Konrad Baron, was working with me but he moved to Denver for schooling. Clint Wells became an athlete for sporting events. Chuck Cobb and his wife Sari is working at Cornerstone Realty. James Petree is working at RAM Designs via his home and it is part of his job. Goldie Arroyo moved to Fruita and still lives here to this day. Sherry Sampson is the new Moffat County Library Director. John Papoulas still lives in Colorado. Julie Jantz is still working at Memorial Hospital and her husband Tim is the Moffat County Sheriff. Mary Lou Simon is officially retired as the Moffat County Library employee and still lives in Craig. Tom Maneotis from the Class of 1954 owns Victory Motors in Craig. |

| Comments: | Hey guys I just thought to write in and say hello since it's been a few years. I live in DC with Brian Koran who works as Army intel, so we move a ton but I miss Colorado like hell. Hopefully in 2 years we will return to that home state.
If you remember Rachel Renee Runyun the anniversary of her death was just this month. Her family would appreciate contact from her classmates I am sure, if you ever get a moment and feel like a conversation with her sister (in Grand Junction) or mother (in Craig I believe). I wonder how many of us will show up to any reunion? I am eager to see where our lives have taken us after school, for I think we can all agree MoCo High hardly prepared us for the real world eh? Small towns with hardly any crime, it was bliss. Just last month while holding my toddler in my arms we saw a woman with her infant mugged at gunpoint near the playground. Our GPS was stolen from our car, someone walked into our house while I was home thinking to rob us because they expected us to be at work that day! I won't even get into the drugs, assault, or murder I've seen or been involved with but let's just say... anyone who knows what "Rock bokka bokka Springs" and the Astro is like? Well ... don't let your friends go to that city. I almost lost my best friend, Sam Lincoln style ( http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_4627495 yeah we knew that guy, and everything the story did not tell you about) Maybe one day they will put a course into High Schools for crisis management? Who needs to know math when all you want to know is the phone number for the local abuse or homeless shelter, or how to afford feeding your family. Maybe even where to run when you get into too much trouble. That should be required coursework in my opinion. I used to hate my life in high school and when I look back I think I blame how utterly boring it was, but graduation is a liberation to excitement and the real world is indeed a violent and prosperous affair meant to be harnessed and used for all it's worth. Make something of yourself, each and every one of you. It's never too late to leave an impact on the world. |

Checking in with my yearly update. Life is good here. I've been taking photography classes this summer and am loving it. I am hoping to have my own business up and running soon. My youngest (Heather) will be a junior this year, she was thrilled (LOL) when I was hired to be the junior class advisor. My son (Joshua) just graduated from college in May and decided to go back for forestry this fall. He is engaged and getting married next June. I've started telling people I was 10 when I had him. I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by. It's been a couple of years since I've been home to Craig but I think of it often and all of the wonderful people I grew up with. My husband Trevor and I just celebrated out 10th wedding anniversary in July. We have two little girls, ages 7 and 4. We live in Riverton, Utah, which is part of Salt Lake City. My husband is a computer engineer and I am a college advisor. My sister, Wendy (1988) lives in Berthoud, Colorado and works as a PA in Denver. I still keep in touch with a couple of old friends but would love to hear from more classmates and friends. I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder back in 1996 or therabouts, which would explain a lot. I would like to hear from anyone who knew me "back in the day" to see what's been happening. I am living in Craig & am a Health Technician/Secretary for the School District. I have 2 boys- ages 14 & 10 (how did I get sooo....old??) Recently moved out into the country (god help me), but enjoy the quiet. My kids keep me busy with sports, motorcross, snow machines & whatever other sport will give me grey hairs fastest. My grandmother passed away last January at 89 years old and I now know it can be a tough loss even when someone has had a long, full life. I still live in Fairfax, VA (DC suburb) and am in my second year of a PhD program. For some reason, I can't stop going to school! I may have an opportunity to teach undergrads soon, so that will be a nice change. I've been married for 15 years and my kids are now 14 and 12. It amazes me that I have a teenager because it doesn't seem I could possibly be that old. I'm disappointed I missed the 20th reunion; from the photos, it looked like a good time. I have been married for 10 years now, and have 4.5 year old identical twin boys. They are CRAZY (do not know where they get it) and a lot of fun. As you can see by my name - I married that Jay Updike - learned a hard lesson and moved on (got the best part of him, my son Justin). Married Travis Goodwin in 2000 - got the best of him too, my daughter Jordan. Am now a single mom, dating a great, gorgeous guy, working with juvenile deliquents(I know the tricks of the trade all too well..) and just sent Justin away to diesel mechanics school in Wyoming. Life does fly by doesn't it. We need to get working on our reunion - can't wait to see everyone and catch up with how life's been treating everyone. I'm fortunate & have beautiful kids. Some people, take Shellie Davidson and Paige Bonaker for instance came on the second day on July 15 due to long distance. Davidson came all the way from Texas to attend the class reunion. That day is St. Vladimir's name day. I am glad Heather Sweet is coming back to her roots this fall to teach. Jesse Hart is now living in South Dakota. The son of my teacher (Judy Sekavec) went to this school (MCHS) named Blane Sekavec passed away over four years ago. I went up to eighth grade riding the bus. My first bus driver was Alma Jean (Oglesby) Chirillo-Burke also known as Jean Chirillo/Burke (May God rest her soul). I did not ride the bus throughout high school years. Chris Wilmoth here, Just decided to drop in and say hello. My wife, Erica and I live in Sacramento, Ca. We have a cat named Blitz, a dog named Rocco, and in August of '07, we will be parents. Not sure if we are going to have a boy or a girl because we are wanting to be surprised. I have worked in the skate and snowboard industry since 1998 and LOVE it. I started out as a shop rat, then moved up to a manager/buyer and eventually opened up a second shop a few years later. I left the retail side of the industry in 2005 and now work as a sales rep in Northern California for c3 worldwide, and INNES. I travel a lot, but I am my own boss. So that is sweet. Erica is a hair stylist downtown and has a clientele of over 100 people, so needless to say, she is very busy helping people look good. She is also hot, but more importantly, she is not a psycho! I love her very much and plan on growing old with her here in beautiful Northern California. I really hope you all are doing well and that the future brings you all happiness. -chris |

As always it was nice to go home and see old friends. I'm living in Minnesota teaching Special Ed. plus a couple of other side jobs. My daughter and I just spent a week in Arizona and Las Vegas visiting relatives. It was 110 degrees in LV, that is just insane. It was a great time though and I can't wait to visit again. I also see that Tammy Brannan has signed in. I saw Tammy about 16 years in a small casino in Henderson, NV. So much for spell check (previous entry) Just reading these bloggs and going down memory lane. My wife April (from North Carolina)and I have recently moved to Craig (May 06). I own and operate my own business, Juarez Enterprises & Design, INC. I am a government consultant. I specialized in various fields to include Facility Assessments, Facility Inspections, Security Assessments-Consulting, and when I’m not in the field I provide Design Engineering services, again to Uncle Sam. My Clients range from Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection, Border Patrol, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Las Alamos Nuclear Laboratory, Department of Energy and a new one to add come this July (07) Army Corps of Engineers. As stated earlier, presently my wife and I moved to Craig to slow down a little, however; I couldn’t sit still long enough and will be headed to Louisiana to tackle on yet another project. | Comments: | Hello Moffat County graduates. I have lived in Kansas for the last 24 years, and have been teaching for the last 12. I have a son John who is 4 1/2, and a son Joel that is 2 1/2. My wife is a veterinarian and she gets to frequently work on my 10 greyhounds that I use for hunting coyotes. I see that Joe and Carrie just signed the guestbook, and I had the pleasure of seeing Joe a couple of summers ago. I remember having Carrie in my Earth Science II class. Don't know if you remember me but we had a few classes together. My in-laws live in Holly and received quite a bit of damage in the tornado. They live on the north edge of town right off of Highland Drive. My wife and I drove in from Minneapolis for the weekend to help them get things back together and start rebuilding. | Comments: | My mom told me about this site - fun to catch up on peoples' lives whom I haven't seen for 25 years.
Bob and I live near Holly, in the southeast corner of Colorado, which was a little-known place until a devastating tornado struck it last week. We moved from Craig 13 years ago to farm down here, but now Bob is in law enforcement and I went back to school to become and RN. I now work at the hospital in Lamar (30 miles away), and love it so much that I can't believe I actually get paid to go to work. Bob and I are both EMT's, and run with the volunteer ambulance service here whenever we can. Our oldest son Logan is graduating from highschool this spring, Tanner is a sophomore. I visit Craig once or twice a year to see parents and sisters, and usually spend a day with Brigit (Cammilletti) drinking coffee and catching up. It's still home, and one day I will probably end up living there again, or at least closer than I do now. It was fun to see classmates in 2002 at our 20th, but I've lost track of everyone again. I returned to college after my kids left home, earned a BA (Regis University) and then a Masters (UNC) in Special Ed. I've taught 7/8 grade for 14 years at Craig Middle School and will be retiring at the end of this school year. We have a cattle ranch north of town. I also have a rural mail route from Maybell to Brown's Park so I'll find things to keep me busy. It's been interesting to watch the changes in town and also te many thngs that really haven't changed.
