Anyway, I'm on maternity leave at the moment & am looking for a few new pals to occupy my free time (or am I kidding myself that I'm gonna have any free time once the baby is here?!!) I love writing & receiving long chatty snailmail letters - my average letter length is about 10 A5 sides so it would be great if you are the same. To me, a good letter is like a conversation between friends - i.e. asking & answering questions, actually showing interest in your pal etc. There is nothing worse than receiving a letter that's just like a monologue! I also hate copied/form letters.
As well as palling, I love crafty stuff, books, obsessive ebay bidding, shopping, being with my friends & family, sunshine, travel, drinking too much tea, hoarding stationery, music, fresh air, cross stitch, baking, chocolate, eating out and lots more! Days are never long enough to do everything I want to do and spare time is limited, but of course there HAS to be time for hobbies! (While I actually tend to think that penpalling is more than just a hobby for me; I consider my penpals real friends and like to share everything that goes on in my mind through paper...)
