| Comments: | I'm also a mother who lost her child, the pain never goes away, my life has not been, nor will it ever be the same. My son Michael Spurlock age 23 was killed by a drunk driver on 2-7-99. My son was a passenger his friend the driver and the person responsible for Michaels death, you see Robert was traveling over 118 mph when he lost control and crashed into a utility pole. Robert walked away with only a fractured colar bone, he left Michael in the vehicle. Angels traveling past the crash saw Michael and placed the call for help but it was too late Michael died at the hospital. My sister has committed suicide, two of his friends have died one from suicide the other because of leukemia. I sometimes feel like I'll wake up and this will be a bad dream, but when I wake up and don't hear "MOM" I realize its not a dream. Keep up to work on this web site its so hard to talk to anyone about how I feel, I feel like they are tired of hearing about it. My heart is forever broken but I try to live and do things to keep Michael alive. Websites are a great way, and this site is also a great way.

| Comments: | I'm suffering tremendously since someone took my son's life by gun on 9/5/5 It's very hard to fake living, especially when I have other children. Every day I wake up screaming and every night I sleep not believing...My heart has grown cold because nothing can affect it any deeper, even if I was to lose another child, there is no feeling left there to hurt more. My clock in my bedroom remains off, I can not stand the time, the season, or the dates...nothing matters no matter how hard I try - my life has completly changed, I am a zombie. I want to die so I can see him again, but I know I must live. I've done therapy and meds for a year..nothing helps, not even a brand new kitchen...I know it's going to take a long time to try and live again..I can not look at any violence on t.v., listen to the news, read the paper..I listen to music in a language I cannot understand, fearing the words I may hear. No one know how unhappy I am..only people like you who are suffering. One thing I did learn is..to let our children go, let them grow, have more faith in them and let them live their lives... cut the apron strings and let them live and most of all stop worrying over them so much and just try to think whenever they are out partying, away, etc...just think "WoW, I hope they are having a good time.
We as parents put so much emphasis on our children, trying to make them a better person, when in fact we are creating negative karma instead of a positive one. Please...if you have any more children, go easy.....I can't change things now.....God bless you all |

She and Becky were my best friends during my time at Air Academy. Having come from a school of less than 300(K-8) to Air Academy was a shocking, and terrifying time in my life. I was miserable. But just when I thought I was destined to go on unhappy, and friendless, Trisha was there, after band, asking me if I wanted to sit with them at lunch. From that point on, we were tighter than I had ever been with anyone else, EVER.Trisha was the one person who knew and understood where I was coming from/ The one person I could tell my true feelings to, without fear of being judged. I felt like I had met the person who was truly my 'best friend forever'. Until the news of yet another military move, this time, back overseas. It was the hardest move I ever had to make. I talked on the phone with Trisha whenever I got a chance. But eventually, the letters stopped, and the calls were less frequent; as we were moving on, and growing up. After losing touch, I tried to find ya'll, but was unsuccessful. I was actually searching MySpace for Trisha, when I read, through Becky, the horrible news. I am so sorry for your loss. I can't even begin to imagine the pain you must be feeling. Without Trisha, I wouldn't be the person I am today. She saved me. Not only from myself, but from the lonliness that caused my soul to ache. Today, there is a new ache. An ache over the friendship we let whither. An ache for the loss of my best friend. And the ache for your heart, for the whole I know her loss has left. Mrs.Elliot, Trisha was a warm, caring, considerate girl, who was always there when you needed anything. I would like for you to write back to me, because we share your grief. Jenna every day thinks of Gino. We moved back to Upstate NY less than a year after Gino was taken from so many that loved him. You see, as a mother, and Jenna as a sister to Jill....we lost our Jill=Lyn. On January 28, 2001 Super Bowl Sunday someone brutally, viciously, and with intent murdered Jill-Lyn in her apartment. It has been 2 years now since her being taken from us and we still have no definitive suspects. Nothing. She didn't show up to work on that Monday after the Super Bowl and that was not like her. So Jenna and I went to check on her. She lived in a " secured" building. Working 3 jobs, and going to go to school to be a paramedic. But you see, when Jenna and I went to check on her..... we found her brutally stabbed to death, mutilated, and it is a picture that I have to live with every day and I hate it. I can never get that sight out of my vision. I look at all the good pictures and good times we had and now I have to live with finding her. 15yrs old and we grew "VERY" Close! People would say we looked alot like sisters and Christina would say "We are" We would laugh about this. My most enjoyable time with her (and there were MANY) Was just two days before tragedy struck, Chrissy had asked me to go outside and jump on the trampoline with her, I said " I can't Chrissy... the neighbors and people driving by will see me playing on this thing" The trampoline was on our front yard and we lived on a busy route. Chrissy assured me that while we held hands and jumped, that I could watch for cars comming my way and she would look out for cars comming the other way, She talked me into it... "JUST LIKE SHE ALWAYS COULD DO" So we held hands jumping together and when i could see a car approching we would fall down rolling and laughing, BUT.. When she saw a car comming she wouldn't tell me until I heard a friend or neighbor beep letting me know they had saw me jumping and playing, I would say CHRISSY.. And again we would fall down, roll around and laugh. She was a "GREAT GIRL" WITH A HEART OF GOLD... I WILL ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO LEAVING HERE AND GREETING HER ONCE MORE 4 EVER. People tell me to move forward and I tell them UNLESS You have lost a child you will never know the feeling. People say, I know how you feel I lost my Mother or father or brother or sister, and I say... ITS NOT THE SAME... I too have lost my brother Eddie when I was 12yrs old and he was 16. I lost my sister Maureen, I was 33 and she was 35, Maureen died a few weeks after my daughter Christina, and still to this day I have not grieved for her because I was never given the chance too. I am still grieving for my daughter Christina. I'm sure the day will come when I will grieve for my sister but both tragedies happened within weeks, I feel alot of guilt that I was not strong enough to attend my sisters funeral but i'm sure she wouldv'e understood that I had just lost my 17yr old daughter weeks before. So when people tell me they know how I feel because they have lost a loved one, They need to understand that, Thats not what we want to hear, Only can parents who have lost a child can relate to how we are feeling. This does not mean that we love our siblings any less, It's just not the same. The baby was in NICU when we got to see him. My son had his second hernia repair on January the 8th of 2000. We were in the same hospital with that other couple. Jonathan was on third floor and the baby was in NICU. Since we were there together, we would checkup on each others child. second Sunday in December at 7:00 P.M. for I would also would like for you if you ahve room to lite 2 candles on your web page for Matthew Dean Napier and Brook Lee Napier. they were on this earth for a little while(premature) and were born 11 months and 2 weeks apart. I am so surprised of all the little angels there are for a while I thought my husband and I were alone in our pain, but the more i searched the more relief I felt. thank you for having one of the most precious pages I have seen. most beautiful websites I've ever seen!! My name is Stephanie Davis and I am 17 years old.Since December of 1999,I have lost 3 of my best firends to violence.December 10,1999 a long time firend of mine Christine Pham-Bahn was shot to death well her parents resturant was being heldup. Then on December 20,1999 well visiting Justin Seigrest (my boyfirend) at his work me 2 others were goofing around when he playfully pulled out a gun and put it to his head not thinking anything of it just goofing around well, the gun went off,and killed him instantly.On April 13,2000 I find out that another long time firend of mine Kevin Henning committed suicide that same morning.So many young lives are being taken.Some times I wonder what is happening to my world,but as I look at your websit I see that I am not alone.I just hope that all the dreambook signers see that to and realize that we are all not alone.And I hope every last one of them lihgts a candle for someone who has lost somebody.So keep hope alive and never give up, and never give in. with Love Stephanie Davis |
