| Comments: | I was Director of the first Show on the most recent site. At that time I was District Agricultural Officer. My Project Manager Mr John Bell surveyed the New Area and marked out the Ring which I Graded in with Equipment donated by Lucas and Ducrow, and others. The Members Stand Stand, Small Grand Stands and other buildings were erected under my supervision.
I recruited Doug Youd the Axeman at the Syney Royal, and on the occassion you describe I counted down his handicap over the PA System. Would you like an extract from my Memoirs? Your History is unkind to the real toilers. Regards. |

I was just going through the net to find out more about where my mom teaches which is Lae Christain Academy and I saw this site so I checked it out and guess what, I kinda like it..Well keep up the good work and hope to see pictures of the show too. | Comments: | Thanks for a great show. I enjoyed Saturday especially the fireworks but I was impressed at how friendly everyone was. The people of Siassi spent over 15 minutes going through various aspect of their stand. The UniTech people did the same and so did the police at their stand.
The show was very well organised. I recently attended the Goroka show and after paying K100 for a one day "photographers" pass (with an instamatic!) I was disappointed to find that everyone was allowed access to the arena. (especially the people who had paid the general admission fee) The next PNG Gossip newsletter will have a small item on the show. It is a shame I did not know about this website before hand as I could have advertised the show a bit more than what I did. Regards |
