What a sad story...Someone has talent, they give it away for free for everyone to enjoy, then people harrass and steal and make sure that any talent and good will is deleted, erased from the world. Nasty society we have. I hope wherever she is, Mort's being treated better.

usa you've turned me into a believer of the c/p fandom. i've been scanning random archives for stories that could captivate me long enough to finish them. i've stayed away from any star trek series but after reading your stories, i'll at least tune into whatever concerns chakotay and paris... even if the series is over. that means i have lots of catching up to do. hurray for dvd stockpile! among my favorites were "another time, another place" and "tides of the heart". i could NOT stop reading "tides" despite how much my heart ached and my throat hurt from that lump you get just before you cry... and believe me, i cried for poor broken paris and devoted chakotay. it wasn't even a boohoo sad cry, it was a PISSED OFF sob for the characters. you sure know how to write angst. those awards for angst were well deserved. even if you've left the fandom your beautiful stories remain! thank you for leaving them up and especially for envisioning them! i hope you are still writing to this day and are enjoying whatever you do! :)

I am on a total cliff-hanger with them, and especially with Daddy's Boys. I really hope you continue with it! I was so upset for you when I heard about the plagiarism issue...I can totally understand how beyond angering that would be. It's unthinkable that people can be so idiotic and horrible. Best of luck in that situation, too! Thanks for coming back!!

Happy days are here again.... LOL Not ignoring the messages to get the rest of the site up, but I have dreamweaver on my laptop and the website on my pc and it's taking a little time to transfer stuff. Besides, I'm kind of embroiled in a huge problem with copyright violation at the moment. Believe it or not, some cheeky mare has stolen one of my stories off this site and has commercially published it under her own name. My story is "Another time, Another Place" in the C/P section. The plagiarised copy has been published under the name of "The Edge" by JJ Massa. Someone sent me a copy of it yesterday and I am absolutely spitting bullets. And as if the theft wasn't bad enough, this Massa woman is saying that *I* was the plagiarist (despite the fact I wrote the story almost two years before she published it!) Well, you can imagine that the Massa house of cards is poised to start tumbling down VERY quickly! As soon as I get the website running properly again, I will post full details of the situation so you can all see why I'm being a little distracted at the moment. God, some people have NO shame!

My apologies that the site has been down. I hadn't realised that my credit card was out of date and it took an email from a good friend to point out that the site had died. Though I doubt I will ever return to writing fan fiction, I made a promise never to remove the site and I intend to keep that promise to you all - even if I never got around to finishing the WIP's. Then again, I guess I should never say Never! I confess that the effort of re-loading everything today inspired me to read some of the WIP's and I'd be lying if I didn't admit to feeling the odd long neglected plot bunny nibbling at my heels. So no promises, but who knows? Whatever happens in the future, I have just read the entries in this guest book and it has reminded me how many lovely people enjoyed my work. Thank you, sincerely, for reminding me that no matter how many problems I had with some people while writing the stories, the MAJORITY of you are people I'd be proud to call my friends.

Germany Our new garden Germany, 25.12.2006 Dear Ladies, last year, we (my twinsister and I) wanted to invite Jennie to visit us. Then we realized that we do not have a big enough guestroom where we live now and so we decided to build a new house. It turned out, that it is A Place to Smile and we have Hope, that we will never get Bored to plan and plant our first garden down a southwest hillside. The view is simply gorgeous over rolling hills and woods. HollyIlexs name gave us the idea, to honour her with a real "Ilex Blue Angel" and we decided to plan our garden as a tribute to our favorite Ladies in the net. So, beside the Ilex, there will be lots of Tulips for Orithain and Sunflower(-seed)s for Jami Wilsen. In summer we will sit in our Garden of Earthly Delights under Ursulas Cherry (Blossom) Tree. And in winter we will sip the Dark Cherry Whine that we are going to make from the fruits, in our library (unter a picture of Mr.Steven Townsends favorite subjects: working dogs). Gaby and Raven have two araucarias (monkey puzzles) ... just in front of the shack. Because ours is no Stepford garden, Mort gets Thorns with at least 42 "Barrayaran Roses" (please, check the beautiful song from Maureen S. O`Brian at: www.cordula.ws/barrayar.html). Lorelei`s place is the spacious redwood deck, where we can watch our picnic table and sip some Lynchburg Lemonade with our elderly neighbor. For Ruth we will plant bambus and hazelnuts (you know what for?) along the fence. Xanthes place is a carefully designed "antique roman" sitting area, with white and golden oleander and lilac - enclosed by taxus-hedges and stone columns. We don`t know her personally, but we imagine her splendid enough, to fit in there. Zoe, Loren and Louise get the three deep red "Japan Arcons" in front of the house. And the white, lilac and blue wisterias, that will cover most of the house are for Dr.Ruthless, because she gave us Shelter from the Storm. There will be Moonlight and Roses (of the "Alexander" variety) for laurel. And we will think of Xcraft, whenever we trimm the boxwood bushes or pick up the nettles ... We are not going to grow Narcissus for LeFey, because we are Literary Bent and she can have the library. Although we have four floors, we will not have an elevator, but we named the banana tree in the stairway-hall "Otis" for Shan. Because ramps don`t grow here, Peach will definitively have Gladiolus "Peach Blossom" outside and a little peach tree beside the Apples and Oranges for Aries in the winter garden ... a place where we can rest Mind, Body and Soul (no Admission with phones in there, except her "phone series" on paper!). The new house is on top of a bigger hill called "Ant" and we can overlook all the woods down to France. So this year was our first Halloween on the Mountain ... and in one of the next years we will have a steam room next to our indoor swimming pool, where we will feel not Uncomfortable at all, thinking of Amazon Xs stories. Derwent spinks esq.s winter nights & summer days inspired us for a swing porch on the redwood deck and another one inside one of our living rooms. And the Blackbird Singing In The Dead Of Night will hopefully be Gaining Trust enough, to feast in "Lady Midaths birdhouse". Whenever we have a Rainbow in our garden, we will feel with Maggie M a Perfect Moment. We will be Waiting for the Rain with KinkyGrrl Diane, because we have a cisterne, that will keep the water for all the flowers. To get us through Those Hot Winter Nights, in addition to the normal floor-heating we have two open fire places in the house and one for barbecue outside, so Ratadders place will be our big logpile (already very popular with the little emerald green lizards, that live here). Loving her "Brown-Eyed blues", the gold-copper irisis are for Ganymede, while the bright blue ones (Iris sibirica) are for Claire Dobbin and the russian rat in her Your Home is My Home. After the Rain we can sit on Imajirus bench, made out of a big tree, we had to cut down, to eat Alex's Interactive Midnight-Sugar-Craving Cookie Bars. We are not rich enough to own one of Mr.Carl Brenders pictures, but we will have a copie of "Companions" (that we re-named "Alex and Walter") for Wolfens over the fireplace. A nearby monastery, where you can buy over 600 different sorts of evy, provided us with plants to cover half of Sleeps with coyotes 22m x 3m wall (that keeps the house from tumbling downhill). We used The Ties That Bind to fix D.W. Chongs purple, blue and white clematis to the rest of the wall. You can see the Measure of (our) Devotion for MJ Lee on the solid rows of natural stone walls, that we build in the last few weeks from the various sandstones we found in the ground. They are already occupied by lots of small animals. The biggest stone (looks a lot like a huge square box) will be used to make some sort of fountain. Water will run over the smooth surface, to create a place for the birds to bath ... and it will be Josans place, because her (and Noirceurs) stories are very special to us. We have ten different colors of hollyhocks to cheer up Kayljay and Lovers and Ghosts can sit with us beside torchs (... no, not the Shack 87, our shack is already occupied by the sinful slashers) blue summer lilac. But - as much as we love Zen&nancys Heroin - we are not going to grow THAT special variety ... just the sort "Mother of Pearl" poppies for them. A Delicate Touch is, what we need for Lianne Burwells bluebells, the weeping hearts we plant for Maddie and Brenda Antrims Lavendula pinnata "Sidonie" are already growing strong. Under the Greenwood tree is in Demi Xs case in the shadow of a gentle chestnut tree, that will provide us in autumns to come with delicious roasted chestnuts. The big 18.h. french style knot-pattern with 420 boxwood plants is for Anna and Amy B. and the joy they gave us with Night Visitor, There and Back, With the Night, Losing Control, Tender Mercies, and That Song. We have no Fallen Angel for Peja, but an "Azure Fairy", a variety of Delphinium grandiflorum, that we hope she will like too. For Betagoddess Helen we ordered from a garden-shop, specialized for Canadian plants Lupinus argenteus in a brilliant blue. Right now, we are creating pebble mosaics for our garden paths in honour of The Theban Band. To create a Twilight Zone for Queen of Denial, we bought 3000 old bricks, that will build a romantic wall... including a gothic window frame made of red sandstone for Cadillac Red. Last, but not least, it was hart work, to find "Blue Satin", a fuchsia and the favourite plant of Biani. Kadorienne and Margaret Price share the very englisch country garden and the very german wooden bench in front of the house. The elfan muses of nightwing, Esteliel, Ana Library Elf , Milady Hawke, Peaceangel, Sindaliessien, crimsonsenya, Makiko Igami and daw, the minstrel will have the birches and pines at the end of the garden. As soon as we have everything growing, we will send you a plan and a picture of your plant. And if you like to have a look for yourself ... we do now have a nice guest room! A Merry Christmas to all of you, with love, The Terrible Twins

I keep hoping that one day I'll visit your site and you'll be back. You're missed, Mort. Your writing is loved and appreciated. Never doubt that. I hope you decide to start writing again, but even if you don't, I consider myself lucky that I discovered you at all.

Ummm... did you stop writing because of some assholes sending you nasty thoughts about your stories??? If so, I'm so sorry to hear that since you've produced some excellent fiction. One should always know that you can't please everybody, but as long as your happy with yourself and who you are and what you do... then who gives a flying f*** what anybody else thinks or says about you and your stories. Frankly, I think that the world will always be full of unhappy assholes who want to make others just as unhappy as themselves and the best way to piss them off is to ignor them and keep on doing what your doing :) Anyway, sorry to get all *sermon-like* on you and just say that I miss your updates and new stories, especially the X-Files ones.

Mort, I noticed that it has been about a year since any updates or new stories. I do hope all is well in your world, that you aren't having any major life problems. If you are, I'm sorry. I've so enjoyed your writing and your stories. You are one of the best writers out there on the web and I just needed to tell you that.

I hope that you will write again...heck...I really hope is that you get special zine out for a benefit of 'choose your favourite cause' published and FINISH all the stories that where stoped..in both fandoms...and that we get a few OC/orignal none fandom fiction...I really hope you where not scared out of writing...just posting and answering your email(s) from your fans...lq.

Maine Dearest Mort, It has been over a year since your last update, a year I have spent hoping and praying that you would return to something you do with such verve, ability, and absolute perfection that I find myself despondent in your absence. I know that it may sound like insincere flattery, but I really cannot express how empty it seems when I check your site and still you have not returned - it is like expecting someone to visit who simply does not come. You wonder did I offend somehow, have they been in an accident or only forgotten that they were to come. Your stories are so original and interesting that they only get better as they are reread. Please return as soon as you are able. You have been missed terribly.

Hi ... just popped back to look at your site - it's been almost a year now since your last update ... still keeping my fingers crossed - hoping that you'll be feeling like updating again soon. You've put characters I love into stories and situations that I could never have dreamed of ... Your work is still appreciated ... sincerely keeping my fingers crossed that you'll be blessed with the inspiration, the desire and the time to write some more.

Little Rock, AR, USA I just checked your site to see if there were any updates. I sincerely hope the lack of recent updates is not due to any serious life issues. You are one of the very best fanfiction writers, and you will be sorely missed if you do not write any more But, you are certainly entitled to rest on your laurels for the body of work you have produced so far. Thank goodness your stories will remain available for all the readers who have yet to discover your writing or fanfiction in general. If you ever decide to update just one of your stories, I vote of "Sleeping Beauty" althought the choice is not easy.

Hi Have been away from my computer - good reasons and not so good. I am hoping that your health problems and your thoughts on continuing to write are now resolved. You would be so missed if you gave up writing. You bring an intelligent perspective, that can disturb but always throws light on the human condition and keeps me at least gripped. I am not a writer but have IMO a vivid internal/creative life - I think if I lost that or did not have some outlet for it my life would be poorer. Not that I am suggesting you don't have other outlets but I suspect from the intensity you bring to your writings you too would miss writing in this area. Tabby

Milwaukee I have visted you site numerous times and read almost all of your fiction. You do such a lovely job with these stories that I am a bit jealous of your tallent. The X-File stories draw me in like a moth to a flame. According to your dreambook, you haven't updated in quite a while. I hope all is well in your world and that you feel inspired to continue with your writing. If not, then just let me say that I have loved reading everything.... especially "Daddy's Boys", "42" (as well as the sequel), and "Sleeping Beauty". I love what Skinner is doing for Krycek in "Daddy's Boys". Giving him a chance to become who he might have become had he been loved and not abused as a child. It is just beautiful. "42" is so sad and heartbreaking and yet Skinner finds the human in Krycek and falls in love with him. The one that touched me the most is "Sleeping Beauty". So beautiful and so tragic. The end just about did me in (I cried!). Skinner gave such uncondiditonal love to Krycek. I sincerely hope there is a sequel to this someday, because it deserves it. You would do a lovely job creating it too, because your writing is all about quality and that is a rare thing. best regards...

I have to admit that I have only briefly scanned your Voyager fiction - and then only because I kept checking on whether there were any X-Files updates and found none. Even though I found the writing to be well up to your usual standard I have to admit that I am hooked on your X-Files stories - especially Sins of the Father. More soon please ... pretty please ... oh .. I don't want to put any pressure on but whenever you update it will be appreciated.

Belgium I discovered your site via Voyager fan fiction (I'm quite late, I know) and the quality of your fiction stands out: good plots, good characterisation, good dialogue - in my experience finding all three together is the exception rather than the rule. Just one question: will "Rivers of the Soul" ever be finished. It's so superb, I keep wondering how it might end... Please???

Canada Mort, I had no idea you were considering shutting down your site until just now when I read your guestbook. That's because when I visit your site -- EVERY SINGLE DAY -- I always go directly to the updates page. So now, while I still have a chance, I need to tell you how much I enjoy all your stories and eagerly await each new installment. I'm especially enjoying Daddy's Boys (even though I really didn't expect to). I don't remember how I first found your site or which was the first story I read, but I'm so glad I did. You're by far one of my favourite authors in the genre. Your stories are so angst-filled and true-to-character. I can't get enough. And whenever you do multiple updates, I end up with a sleepless night because I simply can't stop reading until I reach the end. I'm so glad to see no such notice exists anymore. I selfishly want you to continue writing (more often if possible), but I also hope all is well with you. I'll be sure to let you know more often how much I enjoy your writing.

BC, Canada Love the new look!! Maybe there are still stories to be found on the 'net re: "X-Files" and even C/P WIP stories [hint hint, beg BEG?!!]. My mother passed away last week after a long illness, and I find myself NEEDING to read in order to stop myself sinking into despair. Thank you for being here to provide an escape from the bad side of real life. Anyway Mort whatever you decide you have a truly great gift.Your characters come to life and have such depth, I feel I know them personally. BeforeI started to read fanfiction I thought Alex was just a "rotten ratbastard".How wrong that assumption turned out to be.I have had countless hours of pleasure at your site ,love all your stories although I must say'Daddys Boys took a little getting used to.Now I`m waiting impatiently for the next installment Please don`t make me wait forever.Well Mort I feel like a spoiled child having had the candy only makes me ask for more. Whatever your decision , it will be the right choice for you.I hope we haven`t offended you in some way . I heard that slash is written and read by mostly women.Well if they are my age we are probably having a hot flush or something.I`d much rather have one from reading one of your sexy lovs scenes. Canada Tried to send you a MERRY CHRISTMAS Ecard, but I think something's wrong with my email program since my PC's new... Anyway, glad to see you're still writing and posting stories. I had hoped for some C/P updates like Swan Song, A Kiss of Midnight Velvet, Rivers of the Soul, etc., but I guess the fandom's pretty much dead now. So hard to find anyone writing for it, and those who are take such a long time between stories, that it's easy to drift away to other fandoms. LotR has gained my interest now, but I still check your site weekly hoping for some C/P stuff--Oh well, maybe next year will be different...? Seasons Greetings & A Very Happy New Year To All!!!
