know Sgt. Heinle personally when I lived in Missoula but I knew who he was and he is the best officer Missoula's police department ever had. He is also one of the nicest officers I've known I now where a pin supporting him next to my Our Lady of Guadaloupe pin which means pray for Sgt. Heinle. I truly believe he is going to get out of his chair and walk again like actor Christopher Reeve said "If we can conquer outer space we can conquer inner space too." Our son is in his early forties and even with his limitations he has gone on to graduate from Syracuse University, was employed for several years with ARISE and is presently a Human Resource person with a large grocery firm. Mounted Police, posted to Weyburn, Saskatchewan (2.5 hours North of Williston, N.D.) I was playing around on the 'net, looking at Police sites, and decided to look specifically for your site. Actually, there are times I think I know Missoula, because our Detachment often hears the Missoula city maintenance workers talking on their radios - their signals will "skip" across onto our police frequency early in the morning, if the weather conditions are right! I would also like to know if someone would be interested in helping me set a memorial page for my father as well as the other officers killed in the line of duty. I think if we set up a memorial page it would help raise the awareness of how human police officers are.(showing pictures of families and friends they left behind, personal stories from members of the family left behind etc.) Sometimes i wonder if people forget that police officers are people with feelings like them. ie the jerk who shot Sgt.
