For a VW fan you certainly have a very nice site! Congratulations! I am fast becoming a Bettle (or is it Bug?) fan, as I just bought a 1962 sedan a few days ago. It is in a very good condition, one owner. Has not been restored but just kept very lovingly. It is now on its second engine which is a 1300cc unit (I guess it is an upgrade in a way?!) There are a few parts on the car that i will replace as they are either worn out or plain "tired". Items like the rubber floor mats, running board rubber, tail light lenses, etc. I have located several (apparently) good suppliers through internet. There is one aspect I have not been able to find and hopefully you can help me: I am looking for information on which are the original paint & upholstery colours, whether rubber only was used on the floor or if combined with carpets, etc. I know there is a book called The Original Volkswagen: would it be a suitable source? I have several books of the Original Series but for other makes. (I am an old -old car fan, as you must have guessed.) Greetings from way down in Valparaiso, Chile! Lars |

I just got a dune buggy it has a 73 volkswagen motor and tran's but the trans is stuck in first (i think}. which i can't even budge it out of gear. the buggy got wet and was full of mud. but when i recived it ran. boy it runs fast only in first gear.
