| Comments: | I am up at 1am in the morning in Hawaii because I am very disappointed with the curriculum of my granddaughters kindergarten class. But maybe there is a reason for everything. If I didn't feel this way, I would never have gone online trying to find something related to "child's work in kindergarten is too easy." This is how I found this wonderful site, especially because I am a firm believer that "music and learning" goes hand in hand. We are having difficulty switching her to a teacher that would be a perfect fit but also because my granddaughter loves her classmates. I think I've learned an important lesson this early in the morning. Today, we cannot always rely on teachers to give our little ones that extra loving care. I love these educational sites; Mr Gonzalez's homework is great too! I can go back to sleep now and looking forward to teaching my granddaughter a little something extra than what she is learning in her class. She was already "Starfall" literate on the computer at 2 and I tutored her since then. It's sad to see a very intelligent child in a classroom that is sending home worksheets that says Preschool on it. I feel she is bored because the teacher wrote a note that said she doesn't listen, and is very "slow". This teacher also doesn't incorporate music. She loved school and school work from the age of 2. Mahalo Nui Loa! Thank you very much! I also tutor my 8 year old grandson in the K12 program. You have a wonderful A+ site! (A+ for Awesome! and Amazing!) |

There is an educational music CD titled, "Spiders, Bats and Wolves Oh my!" by Touche' EDI (www.toucheedi.com) that features the song "There is a Tree!" This song has movements and in the end the kids yell, "Boo!" It is very popular with younger students and can be used for language arts activities, as well.
