| Comments: | I believe that learning and music go hand -in- hand, and I have found it to be so. I work as a paraprofessional in an elementary school mostly with preschool and kindergarten aged children. I am constantly making up "little ditties" to help the children learn new concepts and help them retain facts. For example I have written a song to encourage them not to give up if something seem hard, and I hear them sing it to each other when someone starts to feel frustrated. Also, the kindergarten children have learned to spell metamorphosis and remember the stages by singing one of my "little ditties." Music really works. Is there a way to print off the words, or listen to the words being sung along with the melody? If there is a place to purchase or download the songs to play at home and in the car, please let me know. I have a very creative child who loves science and inventing and art and geometry; but he stumbles with multiplication tables and memorizing the 50 states and capitals. Can you help us? I started to sing the 50 states that rhyme song -- which I still remember from when I was in fifth grade!! and she loved it!
