| Comments: | WOW!!!! When I joined the Air Force in 1996 I got went and got a Pow/Mia Bracelet and it was for CPT David R. Smith March 16, 1969 from Dayton, Ohio. the reason why I picked that one is that he was from Dayton and I'm From Greenville anout 30 miles away. I have worn the Bracelet since I had gotten it only taking it off for a short period every now and then... Peopla always ask me about it and as to why I wear it. My answer has never Changed : I wear it out of Respect and to Honor his life. I never knew David's history until today. and thank you for this.... I also wear a KIA bracelet for the war in Iraq on my other wrist for the Same reasons. I love the Page Jeremiah Fox |

| Comments: | I am a long-time friend of David Smith.
His remains were positively identified and returned to his family this year. Burial was on August 25 at the VA cemetery in Dayton, Ohio. David's Army records tell that he was "well-liked by everyone." He was a special man and will forever be missed by his friends and family. A small bit of comfort is that he died piloting his plane--he loved to fly. |

| Comments: | What a nice tribute for your adopted MIA/POW. I found your link on Fun Battles tribute page for Memorial Day. I'm a Hobby Lover and thanks for letting me visit your site. My Dad was a veteran of WWII and I always make sure I plant red geraniums at his gravesite on Memorial Day. I donated his beautiful American Flag from his funeral to the local Senior Center.
