| Comments: | I was born in Booneville at the Prentiss County Hospital on August 28, 1955. My father, Rev. Herman R. Moore, was pastor of Fairview Baptist Church in Booneville. Rev. T. Louis Parker, dad's predecessor at FBC had returned from TX and persuaded the church to conduct an election between he and my father for the office of pastor, Rev. Parker received one vote more than my father. I was born the day my father preached his farewell sermon at that church. We left many good and wonderful friends in Prentiss County; the Van Nix family, the Aurthur Harris family, the Barnes family, the Von Spencer family and last but certainly not least, the Rev. W.E. Sharp family. I would like to know any information available regarding any of these families. Ironically, my eldest child married a boy from Rienzi, MS who was also born at the hospital in Booneville. I could not have searched the world over and chosen a better man for my daughter. |

This was in the Thrasher community and my grandfather was C. C. Campbell. I also don't know if he owned the property when the school was there. This would have been off the Thrasher road within 1 mile of what is now Thrasher school. Your website is great. |
