I’m sure you may not remember me, but many years ago a good friend of mine and I honorably trained under you way back when Hot Shots was still around in Crowley High School and then to Meadowbrook. My good friend was William Cody Austin, and my name is Douglas Southerland. William and I have continued our training for the past 10 or so years, we never stopped loving everything that martial arts gave to us. Christopher has mentioned me that he did learned much deeper on history of the 5 martial arts systems. Chris, soon to be 14 have been with Tong Il Lo for almost 9 years and I personally wish him luck on Feb 23rd test for 2nd degree black belt before he will have his surgery on his torn ACL. Also I would like to brag on one of your teachers, Mr. Kevin Tewes, he's a really great guy, while I was sitting on the bench waiting for sparring, he came right up the seats and sat by me, and we had a great visit, cutting up and what not. And the cool thing was he wanted a picture with me! I didn't have to come to him. It's the other way around, for once. No one wants to take a pic with me lol. | Comments: | while I do not know the behind the scenes info, I know that I am truly disappointed to hear of Mr Hardy leaving Tong Il Lo. I would encourage those students to continue with their Tong Il Lo training where they can. Tong Il Lo has made a huge difference in our family, and certainly in our daughter. Stand strong for Tong Il Lo. The instructor is just teaching the cirriculum - he is not the cirriculum - remember that. What makes an instructor great is the support of the system behind them, and the ability to have access to a great system and cirriculum and the community fellowship that comes from that system-family. Tong il Lo is certainly not the only martial art out there, but it certainly ranks as one of the best. |

| Comments: | I was very excited about attending the Pressure Point seminar. I was very happy with the amount of information I learned. Years ago I took a class and learned how to use a small flashlight as a Kubaton. I thought I would learn some of the same techniques. Boy was I wrong!
I enjoyed learning the names of the muscles, the techniques, and especially how to use the key ring to do exstensive damage! I previously didn't care about carrying a Kubaton because I didn't think it was capable of great damage. Now I have a new respect for the Kubaton. Thanks Master Mcdonald! |

Even though I am a white belt i have learned alot about the self- defense I needed before tong il lo matial science came into my life. My friends say it is so cool that I know how to do the proper kicks, and even punches. But I only use them in MY selfdefense. We have met several times, my name is Judy Roberson and my daughter Danielle attends Mr. Young's class. I just wanted to let you know how very pleased I am with Mr. Young and his teaching. He really cares about his students and shows interest in them in and out of the classroom. Their success is obviously important to him. He takes the time to find out how they are doing at home and at school and I think that says alot about the person and teacher he is. He encourages and teaches his students to set goals and always finish what you start. So in other words he is a great person and teacher and the kids are lucky to have him. The campout was really great this year as usual and Danielle really enjoyed herself. Thanks to Tong il lo she is really gaining confidence in herself and is learning to set goals for herself. She had a choice between dancing and karate and she choose karate best choice she could have made for herself and very surprising to me. She had always expressed a desire to tap dance. Bobby and Joshua Cross won't be at Friday's class because they are going to Master Pinders Tournament Saturday and don't want to be over worked. If she can't make it to Fridays class she can make it up by going to Tuesdays class in Waxahachie or Saturday of next week. There is no class this Saturday the 20 th.,in Mansfield. Bobby and Joshua said Katelyn shows that she really likes Tong Il Lo and does quite well! Keep up the good work!! |

| Comments: | Friday Katelyn's class is going on a field trip to the Ft. Worth Zoo. She loves the Zoo but is very concerned that she won't get back in time for her class with Mr. Brignac Friday night.
She has had Dance Performances right after her Tong Il Lo classes several times lately but refuses to skip class to get her hair done for the performances. She has been very stressed that it will interfer with her Tong Il Lo. She worries that Mr. Brignac and Bobby and Joshua Cross will think she is not serious about martial arts. She has never been so dedicated to anything before. |
