| Comments: | I recently saw Michelle Thomas in Dru Hill's video "Never Make A Promise" and my sister mentioned that she had passed away and she and Malcolm were supposed to get married. I didn't know about this and we were just watching an episode of the Cosby Show when Theo had went to the prom and they had the helicopter disaster...that was funny by the way, and I just had to find out more. How could someone so beautiful be taken away? I read about it on wikipedia about how she had stomach cancer and died at 29. It hurts but at the same time, you have to remember that she's not hurting any more and she's in a much better place. God is the only one who knows when someone's time is up. That's why He is who He is. I'm a fan of The Cosby Show and never really heard about Michelle Thomas until then. I can't say that I'm a fan really but still, its good to make someone else feel better and its always nice to say something even if you didnt know the person. |

Someone was happier, more at peace, felt loved, developed character, or learned one or many lessons because of Michelle's being here with us even if it was for a short time. Her death was not to harm but to enlighten. To help others realize what she did for them, who she helped them become, what she helped them accomplish, whether by standing by their side or from a distance her life fulfilled the purpose God intended it too. But since I could not remember her real name, I just search for Myra from Family Matter. Went to her biography and it said: Michelle Thomas, date of birth: September 23, 1969. DATE OF DEATH: December 22, 1998. Cause of Death: Stomach Cancer. What I was reading left me shocked and had me crying on the inside. All of this because she so young at the time (died at the age of 29). Back then, I also knew her as Theo's (Malcom Jamal Warner) girlfriend from the TV show "The Cosby Show". | Comments: | I love watching The Cosby Show. I am sure to make it home from work to see the many re-runs on the WDCA-20. It was really odd that tonight was one of my favorites... the prom gone bad because of the helicopter ride. My husband happend to see the same episode simultaneously at the barbershop and we dicsussed how funny it was. I then asked, "Whatever happened to her? I could surely see much more of her. I even remember when she was on Family Matters." To my dismay, he informed me of her untimely death in 1998. In disbelief, I searched her on google.com. Although 8 years later, I'm sadden by her loss. From what I read, she seemed quite courageous in her struggle. Since I am only familiar with her through TV roles, I'm sure her family and friends know who she truly was and miss her deeply. When a loss is suffered, "who, what, where, when, why" doesn't matter anymore. I understand that because I understand what the beloved left behind experience and I know what it does to people. For whatever it's worth and although 8 years later, I offer my condolences. God Bless!

I life in Germnay and didnt know that Michelle died so early, I read it the first time today on this web page and was just shocked. See Michelle playing Myra on Family Matters was just great. I know there was absolutly no one who didnt like Myra. Michelle did it with so much love and energy that everyone had to love her. :) I used to watch it together with my sister and we had soo much fun.
