I miss being in the position to just help any and everyone on the street! I haven't been able to worl inane years and Still can't say no! Unless I'm just broke as them!!! I found myself there alot recently and am confident "as God makes sure the birds have what is needed, I will be given as I need as he alone knows why trials and stressful times keep us grounded and Humble! Once arrived to Florence Italy,to do my post-graduate studies in Panting and Sculpture,. I was very close with the franciscans and really thought Iit could be amizing like a dream to really be able to develop my artistic talents being in the franciscan order.. At some point I was startled by my father who really thought was not my way...Any how I have kept my religiuos search asd well as aimed for my artistic goals... | Comments: | A co-worker and I stumbled upon "History of the Minnesota National Guard" while wandering the locked rooms of the dilapidated Minneapolis Armory. It is a shame such a wonderful work is now trapped in a deteriorationg, dirty old building. Thankfully the area where this work is located is still dry. Hopefully someday the current or future owners of the Armory will restore the building and the frescos (there is another on the wall) so all can see this again. |

| Comments: | Hello. I am the daughter of James Sample who was conductor of the Portland Symphony Orchestra from 1949-1953. I remember Sr. Lucia Wiley. She visited at our home in 1976. My mother, Ernestine, was also a painter, so we all had much in common. I have a note from Sr. in 1980, right after she heard my mother had died of cancer. It was lovely that she says "Sealing our long friendship, and establishing its continuing reality, we Sisters sang the Requiem Mass this morning -- closing it with the Palestrina Triumphant Alleluias of the Easter Hymn." Dad died in 1995 of a heart condition. I'm sure they're all visiting once again, painting and singing together once more. Thank you. SSP |
