AldenThe Alden Book
Um...hi. I'm Alden. Uh...sometimes I get lonely because I don't exist with very many people. The only other person I get to talk to besides Kendra is Mirai. He's quiet. So... I dunno. Would you keep me company?
Kendra says that sometimes I can post little questions for people to answer. I guess if people like the comic enough it could be a forum.
Oh, another thing: If you have no clue what I'm talking about, visit Lyn's soulbonding page and maybe I'll make more sense to you. (Lyn's page.

This time's question is: What did you think of Absolution? And how are you doing today? Leave an answer here please.
Um....I hope this isn't a total flop. *scuttles away*

Comments:I just finished reading Absolutism; the art was good (hell,
better than I could ever do *-_-) and the story itself...
well, now I'm depressed as hell, both because Saffron and
yourself died, but also 'cause I know that all those little
comments would be the initial response (at least
around here, in Redneck, California.) And it takes a lot to
depress me, so your story is obviously very moving and
believable (though the whole Death in the mirror thing was
kinda weird.) And finally, it's not odd that you (Alden)
speak- my characters (mainly Geno) do it all the time. (Even
after I've tried to kill her off... stupid mercenary.)

Well, kudos on the manga. I can honestly say the time I
spent reading it was well spent indeed. And I hope you're
not so lonely anymore.

Alden. Poor saffron! ack, I almost cried. I really did. And
no, I don't think you're insane because you talk to
fictional characters... but the whole DEAD fictional
characters... ^^;; kidding! I loved your comic! the art was
cool (especially the cg'd bit. I wonder what Bayard uses
in his hair.... ^_~) Ok, I know I'm a bit dense, so I will
feel no shame when I ask about the little girl. Where did
she come from? who was her dad? Saffron is the mum? but....
0_0 please e-mail me and explain!!! I loved the whole
thing, even though I didn't get that bit ^^;;

so that leaves to how I am today lah~
Well today really sucks, my science teacher was being such
an evil meanie person and gave us like fifty assignment for
us to do, maybe I'm exaggerating but that's what it feels
like lah~ So we're doing ten different things at a time and
the work just comes one after another *swirly dizzy eyes*

Comments:Anou......WAAAAHHhhhhhhh so sad lah~!!! *anime tearfalls*
But I don't really follow the story in detail. For ex. Did
Alden kill himself or did he just died from AIDs, and how
did he get AIDs in the first place?? ?_? I'm a dense dense
person, explain =P and I don't get the death talking to
Saffron thing, what about Saffron's child, who's the
father?? Wouldn't the kid get AIDs too then? And did Bayard
and Saffron got married or something? eehh eeh eeh????
waaahhh wai wai I'm lost lah~!
Anywhoo, I'm a fan of shounen-ai lah~ *hearts* that's why
Alden shouldn't have died and Bayard should've end up with
Alden (Like X/1999 ^_^) It'd be interesting (for me) if you
took time developing the Alden/Bayard relationship....I
dunna care if Saffron dies, me no like skinny girls with
Bambi eyes innocent look lah~ lol, maybe I'm looking too
much into this, waah! But back to the point, so sad and
depressing *sniffs* but half the time I was confused, so,
yea, great paint job ah! Especially with the neon
lightings, it's very unique and effective^^ Wellz that's
it, Shounen-Ai rulez =P *sticks a Nana-chan head sticker on
the book and hops out*

I love Alden ^^ He's so sweet ^^ ::if I liked guys I want
one like him^^;:: But anyway, the thing about the reaction
to his death--well, that's how a lot of people here
(Tennessee) would react, too. I mean, that's how people are
in the South. ^^; I hear insults being directed toward
homosexuality all the time down here. So I didn't think
you were going overboard and I can see how'd they care more
about Saffron's death (Who I also liked^^) than Alden's.
This is also totally unrelated, but your campaign thing is
hilarious. ^^

Comments:Wow! (excuse me alden while I comment on artistic comic
crap) That is the most beautiful non-published manga I have
seen in like forever!! Do you mind if I critique on it?
(hears a nod) Thanks ^.^ Well, the story was difficult to
follow in places, especially when I couldn't tell what it
was that was being drawn. But even when you didn't know
what it was, it still looked so...right. The plot seemed
uneven, giving more time to develope the characters, but
then when plot happened, there wasn't time to absorb it.
But because you developed the characters so well, I really
felt it when Alden died. Then when Saffron died, too, it
was just the perfect tear jerker (and a wonderful plot tie
in ^.~ !!). I don't understand the little kid, or the fact
that both brother and sister died in the same year, or how
the little kid knew them ( or not knew them??) Anways, I
say that was the only real down fall of the whole thing.
One other thing: they're profiles look funny. I think
it's that they have no cranium definition (from the forhead
to the back of the head is toooo small). But that's just my
nit-pic as an artist (what do i know, I'm just a big copy
cat anyways. Nothing original like this ^.^)
yeah, so...i liked it, it was cool, and stuff. Rock on
man. Live long and draw more.

Comments:Hi Alden! I'm feeling fine today, thanks! (I hope you and
Saffron are happy out there...)

Hmm...I'd think you could ask Kendra why she had time to do
a 70-odd page manga but hasn't done any more Stone Fighters?
^_- "Absolution" was much better than "Stone Fighters"
anyway (not really my thing...). The CG was very pretty,
too...I wouldn't say it was too *long* per se (if I had done
it it would've been crammed into about 20 pages ^^;) but the
beginning seemed kind of too leisurely
(ifounditabitboringatthebeginningbutidontlikeshoujoorshounen
aianyway) and then the ending seemed more rushed (it
might've done better longer, what with the drama and
stuff...). I wouldn't call it *predictable* (I'm dense,
though) but people might think it's a stereotype to make
homosexuals have AIDS...ah well...(and I thought the end was
a little preachy...okay, there's a lot of hate for gays out
there, and you probably have a better handle on it than I
do; I just choose to see the world as more tolerant...)
Anyway, I thought it was good anyway; I enjoyed the ending
(although the shoujo scene talking with Death wasn't my
thing...but I like shounen better than shoujo...what am I
doing here??? ^_-;;;). (It's so much fun to watch your
stories improve!....when you're my age you'll probably be
famous t_t;;;)

Aw...I just addressed most of my comments to Kendra (and
they didn't even make any sense!), and *Alden* is the one
who said he was lonely... ;_; Hope you'll both forgive me.
Keep each other company, 'kay?

Uuuuum... Saffron is cool. Kendra thinks people won't like
her, yet I do. I also like Bayard 'cause he's the kind of
guy I hang out with. Alden is likable, but he grates on me
for some reason, as most weepy, angsty gay manga characters
do. But I like him more than, say, Shinji, or some shit.
