When she's here or he's there, he never leaves her side....is always gentle....sniffs her stuff but never picks it up (the power of the leave it command). They are so sweet that my sister got a little black male from you a couple weeks later that I picked up from you. They are such gentle lover bugs. I have had cockers for 12 years and thought the one I lost was the best. This little one I have is so gentle. I read all the gushing messages from your satisfied dog owners,only to tell you to add us to the bunch. We bought Clover in Feb.2000, she is one of Ollie's pups. I just don't know where to start to tell you what a wonderful dog she is. She is personality plus. With out a doubt the best thing on four paws we have ever brought into our home. When I first went on line looking for a Cocker and found your web sight and spotted Clover, I told my husband this is the one we want. He on the other hand said he was not impressed with her looks (mind you she was 4 weeks old). I stuck to my guns, and when he first saw her in person he was awestruck at how beautiful she was and I had to convince him that this was the same dog. She is a chip off the old block, she definitly Ollie's girl. What a beautiful dog inside and out. He just loves her, it is a love-fest every morning. We can't thank you enough for providing us with our little bundle of joy!! We got Chopper from you in September and since has been one of the best things that has happened to us! He is always ready to play and has so much energy! We just took him to the vet today for a check up and a shot and never whined! He is so lovable and friendly, every time we take him anywhere everyone comments on how well behaved he is. He loves baths, getting hair cuts and thinks a day at the vet is just fine! We are getting ready to move up to the cities from Rochester and eventually going to purchase our first house, with a big yard for Chopper to run and play. We have been thinking about adding on to our family when we do have the space, hopefully Chopper will feel the same!! Thank so much for taking such good care of your puppies! I have had 2 of your puppies in the past. I bought a black female I named Chelsea in 1992. I had to put her down about 4 years ago. She lived to be 10 1/2 years old. I also bought a male tri-colored named Gunner in 1993. I still have Gunner today and he will be 14 years old in August. I truly love my dogs and I can't image life without a cocker spaniel. Just a quick update and thank you again for sending this little slice of chocolate to us. She is a lovely and talented litle girl. We struggled with a name for the first month or so, but we finally settled on Ginger. She will be 6 months old tomorrow and lives up to the name as she is a complete flirt and a shameless little vamp. Everywhere we go she bats those eyelashes and wiggles her little tush and people stop and exclaims how beautiful she is. Then she prances off like a show dog looking for her ribbon and her next admirers. Our 11 yr old cocker Daisy had been an "only child" for about 5 years and when Ginger first came on the scene, Daisy made it clear that no one asked her if Ginger could live here. But Ginger won Daisy over one day at a time, with little kisses and pushing toys to Daisy, and accidentally-on-purpose rolling over on her while sleeping. Daisy has been acting more like a puppy lately, chasing balls and fighting over toys, just lovely. Life is a bowl of Ginger chocolate, you never know what you're gonna get. We're doing a little snow-birding in southern AZ.....and Seamus (Ollie X Olivia born 7-21-06) is LOVING the warm weather and lots of time outside walking & playing! He's a true people magnet....takes us a LONG time to go for a walk as everyone wants to visit with him. We're in the middle of a series of obedience classes...his first.....he's doing great! Picks up on the commands with just a couple of repetitions.....now if we can just keep up with the consistency it will be the first big step on his way to becoming a therapy dog. Time for class and then combing all those sticking pod/seeds from his fur.....

I just wanted to let all of the other people know who look at this page that the puppies you have here truely are great. I have had Lizzy (Dolly-True puppy) for 6 months now. She has one of the sweetest temperments I have ever seen in a cocker.(I have owned and seen many) I must admit I was nervous about having her shipped all the way to Pa without ever seeing her or her parents but I have never regreted doing so. Margaret is also a great help to a new person trying to start to show a dog. Even across several states she has taken time to help me every way posible. I would recomend a Namees cocker to anyone looking for a dog with personality, loving, sweet disposition,health,energy,with lots of kisses to give. Lizzy warms my feet every night, that is after I get her to stop kissing me and my husband.LOL! Thanks again for trusting me with such a great girl. It is fun to keep up with you and your dogs on the web site. I am so excited to see how well Jazz and Jimmy are doing in the show ring. As you know, I have their sister and littermate, Gracie. Tomorrow is the first birthday for these wonderful puppies. How time flies. Gracie is the friendliest, most loving dog I have ever owned. She literally loves everyone. He loves to show off in obedience class by sleeping! Yes...while all those other dogs are jumping and barking, Bentley is sleeping! He struts his stuff on leash walking and eats it up when asked if he is from show stock!
I'll admit that I was a little nervous purchasing a puppy sight unseen, but our Namees'cocker couldn't be better socialized or well tempered. Thanks so much Margaret! |

| Comments: | It's been almost 2 weeks since our lovely little Seamus came to live with us....at almost 9 weeks he is amazing! He has not had an accident in the house in the past 3 days...he is walking on lead....sits....knows the bring it and drop it commands.....he absolutely LOVES cottage cheese with his kibble (have to spoil him a little). He goes everywhere with us....in fact, he even had a little ride down the sidewalk with an elderly patient of mine while making a grocery story run....our little Seamus is amazing....all your hard work of breeding and socializing has truly paid off and I get the benefits. I would encourage anyone looking for a beautifully behaved, well tempered, gentle & loving cocker to look no further than Namees Kennel....BRAVO!

| Comments: | I obtained a Namees cocker August 2005 after I had lost my black cocker (Sydney) due to congestive heart failure, (he would have been 13 years old in November.) My new puppy is chocolate and tan with white markings and is a male. His name is Ollie. He is the joy of our lives. He is the cuties little dog and gets complements all of the time regarding his personality, his looks and the quality of his thick brown coat. His temperment is very loving. He is playful, spunky and yet very calm and not a hyper puppy at all. We are in dog school now and this is going well. He is a quick learner (when he wants to be). Ollie is 7 mos old and is 20lbs. The vet says this is a perfect weight for this cocker and that he should run between 20-25 lbs when fully grown. I love it because he is just the right size. I will be coming back to Namees Kennel to obtain another cocker sometime soon. I do want to have two dogs so they can play and have each other. Thanks again for the quality puppies you raise and it was a pleasure meeting you last fall. I must send you our x-mas card that showed Ollie at his best. | Comments: | My husband and I fell in love with our Namees cocker on St. Patrick's Day 2003, when we visited her at Namees for the first time. Our tri-color chocolate/white/caramel female, whom we named Carmella -- for her two caramel-colored eyebrows -- joined us in May of that year,when she was three months old. She has been a delight. She is healthy and happy as she approaches her three-year birthday in February 2006. She is so even-tempered. She and our five-year-old granddaughter Lily are best friends.Carmella shares her toys and loves to romp and play with our granddaughter,who visits nearly every week. Carmella is friendly to everyone, and her striking dark chocolate and vanilla-white fur and caramel-spotted muzzle turns heads wherever she goes.
Carmella is my constant companion. I teach college English, and spend long hours sitting in an overstuffed denim chair in my living room, reading student papers. Carmella is always at my side, wanting her back scratched, or snoozing, or chewing her special rawhide chews that our vet recommends to keep her teeth clean.We feed her Flint River Ranch preservative-free lamb/rice food, which helps maintain her healthy coat and skin. With our vet's approval, Carmella has always enjoyed daily small amounts of fruit(like organic blueberries and apples) and vegetables (mostly steamed broccoli and a few carrots), and she has been a healthy, happy girl, who has maintained a stable weight around 18 pounds. She's a small girl, and easy for this 49-year-old (yours truly) to handle. Carmella loves her walks. When we acquired Carmella,Margaret suggested we use a harness designed so the leash attaches over the shoulder blades rather than at the neck.)We looked for a long time to find the right harness,experimenting with the common varieties sold at regular pet supply stores, and then I saw one I really liked on a dog at the Denver airport last November. It was a Sylvan & Sons harness from a company in Florida. There are no harnesses like this in the chain stores. It has been a godsend, easy to put on in one step, with no adjustments needed, and it eliminates strain on Carmella's delicate neck when we go on walks. All you do is measure your dog's girth, according to the directions provided on the harness company's Web site, and the company sends a harness the appropriate size for your dog. The harnesses come in many styles and colors, but I particularly recommend the style with small black and white checks and a red border.Looks good on our Namees parti-color cocker, and is made of really good material. All of the product recommendations I make are purely for my wish that all of you who own or will be acquiring a Namees cocker strive to make your cocker as comfortable and as healthy as you can in the new life she begins with you. So, I directed her to Namees by giving her a website to go to and told her that I new Margaret of all people could help her out with a nice chocolate cocker. | Comments: | I would like to say we bought a female chocolate cocker about one and 1/2 years ago her name is Rosine which means Rasin in German. She is beautiful and the joy of our lives. She is good with our daughter and sleeps with her every night. She is well mannered loves to please. She even had her picture in the paper because the lady that cuts her said she is the most prettiest cocker she has ever seen and the most behaved dog to cut...I had another cocker many years ago and we loved her but Rosine is even more joy. She is so pretty everywhere we go someone wants her they love her. I have people begging me for a puppy. So soon she is coming into heat so I will do that so if anyone knows where I can get a chocolate stud let me know. Perhaps from one of Margarets other cockers that is not have any trace back to Rosine. I recommend anyone to Margarets she has a true love for these dogs and totally works hard at what she does. | Comments: | To JDreams666 (Using the devils # huh?): First of all, I have owned several puppies, adults from Namees Cockers over the last several years, including CH.Namees Magical Spell of Cheer. I battled with temperment issues in my own line for several years...after getting "Hershey" from Margaret and experiencing owning a dog with such a WONDERFULL temperment, I disowned my own blood line and sold every single one of them (with the exception of my foundation bitch who is 7 years old and spayed.) As you can see, I did not keep Hershey, but not due to any fault of his...I had just had a baby and also returned to working as a nurse. I knew Hershey was worthy of a championship, and i knew that at that time I would not be able to do him justice, so I returned him to Margaret and Hershey finished his championship in style. I now another boy from Margaret, sire is Ollie and dam is Betsy. This boy did not come to me from Margaret until he was nearly 5 months old...I was very pleased that when I picked him up from the airport I opened up his crate door and out came a tail wagging happy go lucky puppy dog! This cocker has such an incredible temperment that I can allow him to be free in the house while my 8 month old baby is down on the floor. He gives her kisses and is ever so gentle with her. He stands up putting his front paws on her walker and she grabs and drools on him, and he just licks her. I also have older children and he adores them as well, even though he had not been exposed to little kids the first 4 months of his life...this excellent temperment is hereditary. Ollie has a great temperment, so does Betsy, and that is the cornerstone of Namees cockers. I also take this puppy dog into the nursing home I work at, and the elderly residents enjoy him so much and everyone comments on how gentle, calm and well behaved he is. NOW I'm going to put you in your place you dumb ass! Your post on this dream book was for one reason and one reason only, to make Namees look bad. I don't buy your story of pedigree research...if you really wanted answers you would have called her on the phone or atleast of left A REAL IDENTITY WITH REAL E-MAIL ADDRESS.My guess is your someone we know rather well, a BYB that Margaret just recently refused to sell you a puppy with a Full Registration...you know who you are, and so do I. ...and if your bogus story is true in reference to pedigree research,...your researching but forgetting the name of the parents of the bitch in question...DUH? How do you research a pedigree like that? Why aren't you coming down hard on the idiot breeder who just bred a bitch with a shitty temperment and THEN decides to temperment test her puppies. DUH again!!! Youre just pissed off cause Margaret wouldn't sell you one of her puppies because that is exactly the type of breeder YOU ARE. We had a wonderful Christmas this year as we got lots of goodies and toys. Our most special treat was our picture was taken with Santa. Of course, we were dressed up for the occassion! We visit our homesite quite often to see all the new puppies coming out of our prior home at Namees. Our first Mom is quite special you know. We visit her when we can and we get the same "luv" from her as we did when we were puppies there at Namees Kennels. Upon reading through all of the vistors to this web site I was DISTURBED and IRRITATED by the comment from one of the vistors saying that Namees Kennels breeds puppies that are not up to "breeding standards." I can vouge for that comment in saying that this statement is UNTRUE AND IS A LIE and that Namees Kennels raises QUALITY puppies. I, in fact am an owner of two of Namees puppies. I am very happy and pleased with my puppies that I purchased from Namees. And, I am sure that I am not the only one who can be PROUD to say that they also purchased puppies from Namees Kennels. To the person who made this comment it just goes to show that you do not know the cocker breed very well and that you are most DEFINALLY ARE NOT AN ANIMAL LOVER LIKE THE REST OF US ARE!! Its brought me to your website so I can see what parents look like. The breeder had to put the mother in another room because she is not a friendly dog. She contributes this to not being raised in a home where attention is more critical at a young age, she said it was not a heredity issue but I need to be assured of this. She said she plans on having a friend do temperament testing in another week, I will wait before making decision. The names of mother's parents were mentioned but offhand has slipped my mind. The sire was being groomed so was not there. There must be some chat groups to pop questions to or email lists, will continue my search. Look forward to a reply. |

| Comments: | I bought a female red/white parti from Cindy Kintzel 12 years ago. "Suzi" was a precious little dog, who unfortunately died of heart failure in May 2004.
A Google search for Cindy led me to your site. In spring 2005 I would like to bring perhaps 2 new puppies into my life, but have never experienced 2-dog ownership. I have no other pets. My home is an ideal place for dogs, as the property is 100% enclosed, lots of pet doors are installed, and there is tons of love for cockers. I've had years of experience as a cocker pet owner. The puppies posted on your website are adorable! I am most interested in parti's, especially the choc tri's, and choc/whites. Would you give me some insight on dual dog ownership? What would be best --- mixing the sexes, or 2 of the same? Please share your knowledge with me, so that I can best prepare for the little darlings in the spring. Bitsy(aka Jaitoocess Toffee Bits) wanted to say hello and let you know she's doing wonderfully! She says she's having a blast rough-housing with her new "big brother" Mystic and she says he even lets her win at tug-of-war sometimes. She's also as proud as punch since figuring out how to get up on to the couches for snuggle time with the kids. Bitsy's on her way to growing up.. she's lost her 1st 2 bottom teeth and the top two are starting to wiggle. My husband and I visited you and got two beautiful chocolate particolor girls a few summers back and we were supposed to bring them back with us to the Philippines. We traveled with them around the US as we visited family and friends. Unfortunately, due to the September 11 tragedy, because of baggage restrictions we were forced to leave them with friends in San Diego. Eventually they got attached to the girls and we had to let go of them. I really regret doing this. But I am happy they are in very good homes.
